Any of you guys heard of a Code Alarm remote starts?

Had a remote start put that is made by code alarm. My previous remote start was a viper with 1/4 mile range and this has 1000 foot range. Well it does not seem anywhere near as powerful as the viper and there have been times where I've been pointed right at the car and it won't start.

Also, they installed a system called Carlink where you can start your car by calling a 1-800 number and dialing a pin on your cell phone. I'm still getting it set up but when they tested it it took about 4 minutes to actually start the car......

So I'm wondering if any of you guys have ever heard of this company. So far it seems like it makes pretty crappy products. Fortunately, the shop that installed it is very good, and they said if it did not work out then they would install a viper remote start with no extra costs.

I have hear of Code Alarm. The older stuff 1995 and older was awesome. I was told Code Alarm was sold sometime after that time frame and quality went downhill. I don't know if that's true or not.

My personal experience was very good with them.

Yeah Code Alarm's days are gone. I am having an Autopage Alarm/Remote Start installed on monday with window mods, perimeter sensor and pressure sensor.

I have a bulldog security remote start on mine and I love it. It also gave my 1990 t4r keyless entry. It isn't very fancy but it was cheap and works good.
