Any of you nerds play computer games?

I always thought I was a pixel density snob. I thought the sweet spot was my 1440p 27" 75hz monitor. Until I got my 32" 1440p 165hz monitor. Easy to run ultra 100+ fps w/ my 2080ti and I now prefer framerate over pixel density. 32" is plenty immersive, I'm not sure why 4K gaming exists though I admit I haven't tried a 4K monitor.

For general PC use 4K would be great though.

I'm on 3440x1440 now, but might switch back once these high refresh rate normal 1440's come out.

What game are you only getting 100fps in normal 1440? I do that on ultrawide 1440 with a 1080ti and 9900k. I would assume you would have higher fps.

Borderlands 3 on 'Badass' preset gets me 90-110fps. Not sure what is it on ultra.

I'm liking this 4K monitor too much. It's staying. The 1050Ti was barely making though so I stopped on my way home and picked up a Nvidia 2070 Super.

At least it came with a free copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

OK now that I have the Nvidia RTX 2070 super on my Intel 6700K with the 4K monitor I can confirm that RDR2 does look a little better on the PC than the XB1X.

It's not a lot so if you did not have anything to compare it to you would never notice. The same could be said to the poor PSP4 Pro guys that have to suffer through those blurry ass screens.

It is fun going through the story mode again on the PC. This time I plan on taking my time and enjoying all the side missions I might have missed before.

For the rest of I'm also stroked about Halo Master Chief coming to the PC.

I finally started playing Red Dead 2 on PC in 4K. I'm able to average ~ 40 fps on 4K with Ultra textures. Here are the settings I'm using.

There’s no difference between the 2. I read probably 30-40 books a year and play plenty of video games. Both are different types of media that are doing the same job. They both are here to tell us a story. One’s more visual than the other, while books give us more depth. The best video games have books written about them to expand on the story; example the Halo franchise.

Btw the Master Chief Collection that came out on steam is absolutely awesome. Also kinda digging the new Call of duty
