Any Phoenix Area shops willing to install a roof rack purchased elsewhere?

I can't recommend a shop but can offer encouragement. I just installed my RMR rack a couple of weeks ago. Done in the driveway in about 3 hours. Not sure which Gen you have but on my 4th Gen the install was remove 8 bolts from factory rack, go fishing for one of the brackets that was not properly mounted from the factory and fell into headliner, Mount new rack feet to old mounting place, add sides, install rails. Much of the work was one person job with a few items where an extra pair of hands were needed.

Unless your runner or rack requires drilling holes in the roof it is about the easiest mod to do yourself. No harder than bolt on sliders.

You might see if there is a Makerspace or rent-a-bay (something like https://garagetime.com) in your area and where they have the tools and maybe someone to help. there used to be a DIY auto shop near where my folks lived that would rent a bay w/ or w/o lift and tool crib that had an ASE mechanic available to help for a reasonable per hour charge. I could rent the bay for 4 hours and if I needed an extra set of hands or advice ask the guy to come over and pay by the 15 min block. It was sweet. There is a similar place Down in Denver (long way I know... DIY Auto Repair Shops: Equipped Self-Service Garage Bays) but they might be a chain with a location near you. I suggest calling Jason at Absolute Offroad

I have not used his services yet but expect too soon. Was by his shop Monday and sure seemed like a good guy who does good work.

All he can say is no and might be worth a shot.

Excellent, thanks you guys! I did contact Jason already from the local forums (on his FB page) and yeah, i might even install myself. (in fact i prefer to do that, but logistically is bad right now).
