Any pics of '18 TRDORP stock rims blacked out?

I may be taking the keys to my new truck this Tuesday - but shhh I don't want to jinx the deal! I'll eventually buy new rims/tires, but will just use the stocks until they need to be replaced. First thing I'm going to do is black out emblems and the stock rims - anybody have pics of their '17-18 ORP stock rims blacked out? Thanks!

Nice looking rig Chris! That is exactly what I intend on doing. Nice Job. I have ordered the gloss black wheel package from dipyourcar and will decide after I do the black if I want to use the Glossifier or not. Same with emblems and eventually maybe front valances etc. Are those RSG sliders? They look similar to the RSG sliders I'm considering ordering after I get the vehicle home Wed. Thanks

Thanks! I think if I could do it again, I'd stick w/ the flat color....though that's only b/c they match the bumpers/sliders. I'm running SSO sliders, love them!

Wow, that looks awesome! You say you did the rims with plasi-dip?

i use plastidip matte black and gold metalizer.
You may want to protect the matte black from UV rays or the UV rays will turn your matte black to a washedout black.

Thats why I used the metalizer for the UV coat and a little bit of pop from the gold.

Looks like you're running the exact wheel/tire combo I've been thinking about. Did you have any rubbing with the Falkens?

No rubbing. They're just stock size at stock height though. I'll be putting wheel spacers on at some point which I'm certain will cause rubbing, though, according to the anecdotes I've read on this forum.

I got the TRD wheels but also bought come back lug nuts. Yours look really nice. There was definitely a difference in my stock SR5 rims upgraded to the TRO ones.

I really like the look of the OF wheels stock. I wish my trail wheels had the black accents. I might try to plastidip them in, but it would be overly tedious.

yikes! i love the TRDOR stock wheels when powercoated black, but unless it's cheap, you might as well look at stealth or method etc.. you can get methods off summit racing or the like for about $700/set..
