Any preventative maintenance to do while the valve covers are off?

I'm going to do the valve cover gaskets and spark plug grommets. While I'm in there I'll do:

• Replace the PCV valve
• Replace spark plugs (way overdue)
• Clean the MAF
• Clean the throttle body
• Might as well clean and grease the battery terminals

Anything I've forgotten?

Also what is the safest thing to clean the valve covers while they are off, which won't eat the aluminum? Is brake cleaner ok?

I've done it on the 3rd gen before and there are cam plugs, half moons and stuff like that but this one looks easier.

I would like to hear recommendations if anybody has any also! OP could you please take some pictures with the valve covers off and post them so I can look at them? This is my first Toyota and I’m curious to see the rollers.
