Any Toyota Finance people?

I usually have to hit up other forums like Edmunds to get the latest specifics on finance offers from Toyota, especially money factors and residuals. Does anyone here work in the finance office and are you able to share details?

you could just walk into a dealership and ask them ..... seriously.

Most of the time they want an application and to run your credit, not to mention waste hours of your time, before they will spill the beans.

Edmunds forums used to be laid out better and had more info but they changed the format so the finance guys rarely bother checking each subforum anymore.

I'm not sure what you're looking for bofa, what I see on the dealer sites is 1.9% financing on all models. Not as good as Honda's 0.9%.

Lease info mostly (money factor and residual values)

The finance rates are pretty well advertised, but with leases it's always a payment amount which is probably the worst way to shop for any major purchase. Plus that figure always assumes a specific model and options which is seldom what the buyer is looking for.

Gotcha, the only thing I know about leasing is you give them your money and then you give them the car back. Not something I would do but I understand why it may be beneficial for others.

I do recall that some places require you to buy insurance through them at absurd rates.

It's also the cheapest way to rent one. :tongue1:

I leased my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It was not a bad experience, and I did not feel it got ripped off..and when I turned it back in, I did so on the purchase of a rubicon.

Yeah, I think it comes down to what your intentions are. If you want to eventually own the vehicle outright, modify it, or know you can't stick to the lease terms, definitely don't lease. But in our case we always average 10-11k miles per year, take very good care of our vehicles, and don't do much to modify them anymore with the exception of the occasional bolt-ons. Inevitably we end up buying new every 2-3 years anyway, so financing or buying outright just never seems to make sense due to depreciation and the way loans are amortized.

Just curious what leases are doing nowadays. If you don't mind my asking, what were the terms of your last lease?
