2010-2012, personally the 2011 Trail Edition.
No stupid air pump where the aux battery should be....
2013 on have them. It is an emissions thing called secondary air injection. The pump injects air into the exhaust during startup to help the cats heat up quicker. They are very expensive to replace and were a notorious problem on older Toyota's as the pumps had problem with moisture. Hopefully they fixed it. I have not heard of any failures on 5th gens.Which ones have air pumps and what are they for?
I really dislike the orange dash illumination on the 2010 - 2013 models.
Somewhere after 13, I believe the HP increased!

ONLY the 13s? Or, 13+?
Wasn’t that picked up in 2012?
Vacuum pumps to support the brake booster are pretty common. Toyota had the issue where water would freeze in the Corolla intake manifold and block the vacuum line which prevent the brake booster from working correctly.

How tall are you?Since the 5th Gens have been around since 2009/10 we have quite a few years to choose among.
Other than miles on the odometer, any 5th Gen years a better choice than the others?
For example, if (very hypothetical) I had the ability to by a 2010 or a 2017 for the same price, same miles, and similar condition, would it matter which one I chose?
