Hey there everyone.
Some of you know that I have worked with Any7Offroad on a number of projects on my various vehicles.
One of the shop owners Darren asked me one day if I would be interested in a gas tank skid since they were looking at starting to produce them. (They do a lot of solid axle swaps and with the gas tank skid being something that can ge used with either IFS or SAS they thought it was a worthwhile market to venture into) I said hell yes as you can imagine.
With the limited market being Lil Skip's which is a great skid and works very well from the reviews I have read, the offroad community can always use more options and for those on the west coast it may be easier on the shipping costs with the shop being in San Leandro Ca.
They finally finished up the prototype gas tank skid that they are ready to put into production.
Intial impressions are awesome and I can't wait to go beat on it in the rocks.
Its all 3/16" steel. All mounting tabs and brackets are welded up for easy install. it mounts up like factory so no drilling or altering of anything for fitment. Total install time is maybe 20-30 minutes from parking the runner to driving away.
There are drain holes along the side and a notch out of the inside edge to clear my drive shaft which already hits the tank without the skid on full articulated stuff.
The large section on the inner edge is because that is another place that my drive shaft makes contact in a couple places.
With the additional travel I'm getting, things are definitely getting interesting with drive shaft movement. Probably 95% of the 3rd gen owners that purchase this skid will not have the same clearance issues that I am having. I believe Any7Offroad will be making it to my specs so that worst case senario, it will still fit and not have rubbing. If you want to see my build there is a link in my signature.
Here are some pics on the ground and installed.
Enjoy. :dancin:
Just talked to Darren at the shop and he said that the pricing on the gas tank skid would be $290 + ship.
They are pretty much ready at this point to start producing. He wants to make one more skid based off just the jig and Cad file to confirm fitments then they can start to make them for customers.
If you want to get a hold of them, you can call the shop at:

The belly skid may be finished up today for those interested in something different that whats currently out there. The mounting is achieved by 3/16" C channels that bolt over the existing crossmembers for additional support there. The belly skid itself has tabs on the top side that bolt to the crossmember supports to keep all hardware up and out of the way. They are working on building a Cat guard that may be able to be an add on to that package if you wanted. (I just want it to have the peace of mind.)
The steering rack skid/trans skid has its own crossmember that mounts to the existing swaybar mounts for additional support. Everything bolts up to factory mounts for easy install. Its actually a really smart and clean way of doing it.
One nice thing about it, is that no hardware will be exposed, on any of the skids, on the bottom side to get ground off or damaged.
The Front skid already has all the measurements completed and hopefully will be finished in the next couple weeks.
Anyways Let me know what you guys think and if you have any suggestions, post them up.
