I know this thread is worthless without pics, but here goes.

I was feeling a little froggy the other day on my Canadian River trip ( pics on the 3rd Gen page!). I had a guy who had never been off roading before in my truck, and a rental Pathfinder behind me. Well next thing you know we come across a set of 4wheeler jumps. I hit first one and jumped about 1 foot. The second one was a little steeper and I jumped about 3 feet!

Well my new front end alignment survived just fine. But I crawled under there today. I noticed my body had rolled a lot further on a particular incline that day than it had the day before. Enough that I had to have the person in back seat slide across the seat to keep us from rolling over.
I found the right front sway bar link broken in the middle. It had bent 45 degrees and snapped from the sudden compression. other than that no damage. I'm going to change it today. I get in too many extreme angles to have that much body roll LOL!

not uncommon

my friend's 99 LTD has a broken sway bar link now.

Did you fix yours with the Wab Fab offering?

You coming back out to Colorado and do some wheeling with us?

Hi, Ron. I replaced it with a Moog. I've always had excellent luck with that product line.
Man, I sure plan on coming out there. I am in Northern Maine until the end of the week. GE is probably going to set me home for a while. So, the odds are good that I will come out.
When I get home I am going to install a new winch bumper. BTW, are there any shops in your area that make a decent bumper? The ARB just is too heavy, and I don't quite like the look.
When I get ready to come out, I'll PM you. I may bring my two 8 yr old children. I figure they would really enjoy a good camping trip like that. Plus my son would REALLY get a kick out of the volcano in northern NM. What are the overnight lows like this time of year?

lows in the 50s here in town

still hits the 30s in the high country at nightimes

Irbis Off Road makes fine bumpers. They are in Aurora CO.

They have some TJM still in stock. Check out their website.

They make a nice rear bumper and rear with tire carrier.

okay have a safe trip getting out here and glad to hear you got the Moog on there now.
