what shocks did you use for the rear? a buddy of mine said he used Tacoma BLS 5100's because they are a bit longer and wont bottom out but he had to press in new bushings ...im just looking to hear some other options...also has any1 ran medium duty coils in the front without a bumper ( until they got a bumper ) i know people say it will make the truck ride real stiff....but then i think if i threw 120lbs in the truck ive never noticed a major difference in the ride

From what I understand, Looks like the valving is different for the 10-13 vs. 07-09 5100 front shocks. Rears I know have different diameter mounting eyelet for 10-13 rear shocks , see below for details on fronts.

I'm running the all pro rear springs with Radflo's 2.5 extended travel rear shocks. The valving on the shocks is right in tune with the spring rate. Provides a great ride even without extra weight, yet still allows me to carry extra weight.

I ran an OME heavy duty front strut setup that was rated for an additional 200 pounds on the front of the truck and it ran rather stiff with the sway bar on and no bumper. I removed the sway bar and the driveability came way back into proportion. I've switch over to adjustable coil-overs from radflo since then to match the rear. So I wouldnt worry much about jumping into a medium duty strut for the front without a bumper.

so once you switched over to adjustable coil overs did you hook the sway bar back up or leave leave it off?...how much height would you say you got total out of your set up?...what size tires are you running?....Right now i have the toytec 3/2 spacer and im running 285s with 1.25" spacers in the front and I rub slightly, its livable but thats why im considering going up a little more. anything special that im missing that you had to do or recommend doing with this set-up?

No, the sway bar is still removed for additional flex off-road

From ground to bottom of fender lip I'm sitting:
Front: 41 3/4" left and right
Rear: 42" left and right

...what size tires are you running?

305/70/R16 mickey thompson baja MTZ's (33x12.50)

this is my current setup (just copied and pasted from my build thread) I would recommend out of the following list to definitely get the adjustable upper control arms if you don't have them, as well as the extended rear sway bar links. you can get these from medic83 or phil from toyota120.com or fab shops like metaltech, wabfab off-road, and perhaps a few other places. medic83 on the 120 forum seems to have the best price. You will also want to extend the rear brake lines or atleast make a drop down bracket to lower the brake line mount where the brake lines in the rear switch from hard tubing to flexible hose. The diff drop kit isn't necessary; however, it does reduce the wear of the cv axles by a small percentage. plus it's 40 bucks so i said what the hell it can't hurt lol. hope this helps
