Anyone Bored?

Hello Guys/Gals,
I have purchased my first 4R(2005 Sport, V8) about two months ago, and Love it! I have been stalking this forum ever since.. I have tried to research and understand everything, because i like to know how $hit works! I have a few questions with mods that i have seen on here that i am not quite understanding.
1) What exactly is the DLR mod?
2) What is the VSC mod?
3) What exactly is the XREAS system, do i have it?

We plan on doing alot of wheeling in mud, snow, etc this winter and coming summer, do i need to do these mods? is there other mods that i will need to do also? Thank you so much! and i LOVE this forum! So much great info and fellow 4Runner wheelers!

1. I assume you mean DRL or Daytime Running Lights. There are people that have made a switch to turn the DRL's on or off. If you want them permanently turned on or off permanently the dealer can do that for you.

2. VSC is the vehicle stability control. Some people want it turned off in snow or sand where there grip on the road isn't solid. Toyota added this option in 2008 I believe but people with earlier years found a way to do it after the fact. You can read more about it here
