Anyone ever replace their dashboard?

Hello,

I've been the proud owner of my '03 SR5 V8 since July 2011. The only thing that has driven me crazy is the creaking dash board. It is very loud (usually only heard in warm weather). Although I have tried my best to drown this out with music, when I have passengers I cannot have my music that loud so the noise comes out. The best way to describe it is a plasticy creaking noise. I have tried stuffing foam in between the dash and windshield but it only made things a bit worse. Aside from the noise, there is a small crack on the dashboard, not as bad as other 4th gens I have seen though. I was just wondering if anyone has ever replaced this. Also, how difficult would this be with things such as air bags? I would take it to get professionally done, probably at a dealer, but I have no set plans. It's just that I plan on keeping this truck for many years and I would like to consider investing in something like this, which would greatly improve my ride quality. Thanks for any help.

I don't know how the airbags would be uninstalled, but when I have my Surfs in South America, they rattled like crazy. What I did was have a shop take the dash out and they put/sprayed fiberglass on the back side of the dash. Most of the rattles were gone after that.

If you can find out where the squeaks are coming from...what may work is something like expanding foam. This stuff sticks to EVERYTHING...And is very good at tightening things up. I used it years ago on an old car that had a lot of noise in the trunk.
