Anyone feel like beating a dead horse?

Hey gentlemen, sorry for the graphic title, but I know that aptly describes this topic.
I'm a proud month old owner, of a Natural White 2002 SR5 2wd (affectionally called Brando) with barely 100,000 miles on it. I am also a solid 3 weeks away from knowing literally knowing nothing about cars or engines, but after hundreds of hours of research I'm ready to order my lift components.
I've worked my way through most all of my maintenance needs:
-trans fluid replaced with 4 drain and fills with Toyota ATF type-4
-diff fluid changed
-brake fluid changed
-(coolant flush in the works)
-OEM spark plugs
-OEM PVC grommet + valve replaced
- OEM fuel pressure regulator replaced
- injectors cleaned
- MAF/TB cleaned
- new air filter
-new battery
Now I feel justified in turning to my suspension:

- 99 Talls up front (48131-35350 & 48131-35400)

I have spent hours looking, and I'm pretty sure this is what I want, but if any of you have any words of wisdom (i.e. DONT DO IT!) please let me know if there's something I'm missing.
I know the 2002 has the lowest suspension of all, so with the 99s and 906s I hope to get 1 inch plus in the front, with nearly 2 inches in the rear to account for my occasional trip to Home Depot/light camping/tool box. I live in Wichita, KS, so the largest rock is around 500 miles away.

IMHO, It is likely that you will have a forward rake if you use '99 coil springs on the front. I would look into matching the front with OME springs and shims with the adjustable Blistein shocks.

Edit: 906 will not be great with carrying weight. I had the 891's and they didn't hold weight well at all and they are the heavy ones.

Maybe you could educate me a bit? The bilsteins I'm looking at I believe are adjustable with the different locking rings/perches. Could I account for the rake that way? I don't mind just a little rake, and I went for the 906's on account of enough ppl mentioned reverse rake when using the 99 talls on all 4 corners.
 
Hmm, yeah depending on how much the shipping is for my 99 coils that does look a little cheaper, but I had up till now just wanted to stay between and inch or two in lift. Thanks man, it's definitely something to think about
 
Do a search for Speedy. He has a great video for lift installation and he also did a bit of research on a 2 inch lift that many on this forum use. He went with trd coils in the front, 906's, and bilstein 5100 all around. Good reading on why he went with what he did.
 
Haha I definitely watched speedys video 4 or 5 times while planning. I the Trd coils are still possible, I just couldn't find ones close in price to the 99s.
 
I had the same concerns when I was doing my lift (I ended up going with Tundra coils / 891's in the rear, and Bilstein 5100's all the way around). I originally had LC 8-wraps in the back and had WAY too much rake. Here are some of the most important threads I found:

Haha funky stance or not, I really like your ride man.
All this started cause I wanted the 99s, but it seemed like enough folks had rear sag issues to motivate me towards the 906s in the rear. Lol, now I'm thinking I might just keep an eye out for the tundras and see what I can find.

Haha I didn't sir, I was originally looking at the 99s all around, this mutation came out of fear of the rear sag that some reported after installing the 99s in the rear. That thread is a masterpiece btw
 
I have a 2001 4Runner with a ToyTec lift and am really happy with it. Hate to admit it but I might not have bought the lift if I had to buy it. I bought the rig with the lift already installed. That said - the ride is great for a 3" lift. ToyTec has a solid product.
 
I did tundra/lc lift I got my tundra strud setup from http://www.car-part.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi
And I ended up selling the strud to someone that only wanted 2 inches in the front but kept the coil and I bought the adjustable one. For the rear coil don't get lc if you only want 2" get 906... I might switch to 906 as well since I am at the 4th latch on my front struts and i still have 1" rake.
