Anyone has actual experience with TRS Morimoto XB LED Headlight as DRL/HighBeam?

I actually have been waiting on these to come out...
Just placed my order for the 9005's replacement of Morimoto XB LED headlight bulbs CREE

I talked to Zach @TRS, he told me the DRL function will run these at full power, so I'll not use the DRL function if that is the case.
I used a coupon code and and internal credit I had so my bottom line price will be less than $72.00 to the door!

So far, I have been very happy with all products purchase from TRS over the years!

What I love about TRS is the detail. If you look closely at the low beam projector, you will see it has "Unlimited" etched on the surface of the lens. It can only be seen with the lights off. But details..thats TRS

Just installed them. When in drl mode there is still a tiny bit of flicker. When in high beam mode there is zero flicker. I keep going back and forth on whether to return them or not.

Flicker is perfect for DRLs. We used to do it on purpose on motorcycles cause it makes people look at you.

Looks great! How much brighter would you say they are over oem? In your pics the color between the hids and these is a little off. How are they in person?

I replaced my 9011 HIR Philips bulbs with these, so I had slightly brighter bulbs than stock 9005's, but they were still halogen yellow!

As far as brightness, they are probably as bright or brighter than OEM 9005's. A halogen filament & glass bulb emits light @ 360°, even though these are bright as seen in the picture, the 2 - 30 watt LED's on each stem is at the top and bottom of the stem so you are not getting quite the same coverage of light to the reflector as a halogen bulb.

That being said, the color, when on appears to be very white (no yellow light anymore) and not blue to the naked eye as it appears in the photo.

I am interested to see a day-time DRL frontal too, whenever you have time.

From pic5 vs pic6, these weren't that bright, minimal difference between the 2 pic, a little disappointing. What do you think?

I don't plan on running them as DRL's, so I didn't take any pics.
Realize they are filling in for Low HID's and the LED Fogs are off when the High beams are on.
They are throwing more light forward and higher than the HID's are projecting with the cut-offs.

I just ordered the Morimoto LEDs from TRS also. They should be here in a few days.
I have heard lots of speculations about them not working in the low beam projector lens. After a lot of research online, I think I may have a way to get them to work as low beams and as high beams.
I want to discount the DRLs from the high beams also... I hate that crap. Once I figure out how to do that, I will be installing the VLED V3 Tritons as my parking/DRLs.

Once I get the headlights settled in, Ill post some pics of before/after.
