Anyone have a how-to on replacing front driver side seat?

I have a 2006 4-runner with a driver's seat belt that isn't retracting.

I will be replacing it but wondering if anyone out there has done a write-up on replacing the seat belt? The reason I ask is because I've heard some discussion about needing to be careful to not set off the air-bags?

My 4 runner does not have side air-bags so I think I should be ok?

I think your thread title got cut-off, because I figured you were wondering how to get the seat out of the vehicle...

Disconnect the battery, let the vehicle sit for about 5 minutes; then you can safely work on the airbag system per the FSM.

It's pretty easy to replace:

-Remove the cover for the seatbelt bolt on the bottom (14mm Head Bolt)

-Pull away rubber weatherstripping on both driver's and rear's door where it sits along the plastic B-Pillar Trim Panel

-Pull the bottom door sill trim panels for both driver's and rear sides up, then pull the bottom half of the B-Pillar Trim Panel off.

-Remove the bolts/screws holding the top plastic trim panel off.

-Unbolt the top of the seatbelt loop (14mm Bolt Head if I remember right)

-Then unplug the Seatbelt assembly and unbolt it (10mm & 14mm bolts)

Any time you do a repair involving the airbags you should disconnect the battery.

Where are you sourcing the replacement and what's the costs? Mine's getting a bit weak on the retracting and if its not too much I might consider a replacement.

Luke, take pics if you can. I am wanting to do this with my driver seat for other reasons, like this hole that showed up in the fall.
