Lot of jeeps and Tacoma come with it stock. Good tire for overlanding and snow rated.

I've got 30,000 on a set and I'm not sure what to tell you. It's hard to say tire x, y, or z is great when you change vehicles at the same time. Is it the tire or the car that makes it feel better or worse.
ex. Turn an icy corner, regardless of how the tire handles it is that because of the tire itself or something different?
I can give feedback as I wanted the exact same things as above. Road noise is not an issue. It's at least good in the winter. Not sure if better or worse than other options in the same category. for my one and only trip to Moab they had plenty of traction to get me into trouble where I would run out of clearance. They claim 50k miles but not going to get there for me.
Probably trying something different for my next set. Strongly looking at more aggressive on the GY Ultra-Terrains but road noise will swing me in or out of that option.

I got them yesterday. My one of my only complaints is that I didn't get the white lettering on the sidewall, which is Americas Tire/Discount Tire's fault for not sending the correct tires. My second complaint is very important for you northerners: the three peak snow flake rating that is required by some local governments for winter tires is not present of the 265/70R16 tires, YOU HAVE TO GET AN LT TIRE WHICH IS AVAILABLE ONLY IN 265/75R16 SIZE. I wish I got the snow rated ones, but that would add an extra inch of height and a lot of weight for the upsized tire.
I bought my 4runner with Cooper Discover ATPs that were scavenged by the previous owner from a tire shop (they were the same size as the new tires). The Goodyears handle better, they ride better, they give much less road noise especially on the highway than my Coopers did. Nothing against the Cooper ATPs, they did a valiant job considering they came off another vehicle and were 7 years old. The Coopers are also much more off road oriented so this isn't much of a surprise.
This is on dry pavement, a budget tire from 40 years ago could do the same thing. The real test will be in the winter on wet roads, or maybe even snow. So take this with a grain of salt.
Jury is still out of fuel consumption. I just filled up but that wasn't a clean slate for the new tires, I have the calculations from over a year of driving in a variety of conditions and will know immediately how these new tires affect my fuel economy.

This isn't the only tire that has sizes where it takes an LT version to get the three snowflake rating. I found tirerack.com the best for answering this question.
As for northerners that is a bit broad. It may matter for places like the Sierras in NorCal where there can be chains or 3 snowflake requirements. Up here in the Canadian border country nobody cares.

I have used the very same tires on my 2015 trail edition. Used stock size but just used the LT version. Great in the snow and rain. Lasted for me 85000kms.

The Good year Wrangler Adventure seems to be a good all around tire for the 4Runner. Anyone else have any experience with these?
I'm comparing them to the Falken Wildpeak AT3W and Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015.
I drive about 12000 miles per year on the highway and about 10,000 miles on secondary roads. Not into off-roading so just looking for a great looking tire that will not be loud on the highway and good for fuel economy.
