Even though everything I read about LCA bushing replacement with the Energy Suspension kit told me that I had to re-use the sleeves and washers from my old LCAs, when I got the kit in the mail, I mistook the UCA install instructions for the LCA install instructions. Only problem is that the UCA bushings use the supplied (with the kit) hardware, but YES, I AM supposed to re-use the LCA sleeves and washers. Problems started because I couldn't get the darn things off, even after reading about grinding on the flare. So, I ended up cutting part of the sleeve right at the washer to get them off. THEN, I re-read the instructions and realized I was looking at wrong set. Oy!
So....anyone happen to save their sleeves? Maybe you did the Whitelines and didn't need them??? The washers off of the first LCA are still good. My 2nd LCA is still hanging from the truck, because the eccentric bolt is seized to the sleeve. Oy again!
I might be able to salvage the other two when I get that LCA off the truck, but I'm not holding my breath.
Side note, but related, since I may need to look at the Whitelines...
I just chatted (online) with someone on the Whiteline site...I was asking about the W53377A bushing set, that I've seen referred to here on this site. She said it wasn't a complete set..just inners. And, it says inner on the description...and they didn't have a non-universal "full set" for our trucks. Can anyone who's used Whitelines clear this up? Is that set (W53377A) all four bushings?? I thought they were all the same...do I get two sets??
