anyone have these FN BFD wheels? they look sick!

I will be searching for an answer but I will ask anyway, I know the countersteer type x's have a -10mm offset which to my understanding makes the wheel sit more flush with the edge of the wheel well correct? These BFD's only come in a 0mm offset for our bolt pattern. How will that effect spacing and stance?

Kind of hard to explain but the BFD's will sit .9"s inward more then the X's because they have a 5.0" backspace(zero mm offset,9" wide rim) and the X's have a 4.1" backspace(-10mm offset,8" wide rim)

But the BFD's will stick out .1" more because they are a 9"'s wide compared to the X's 8" wide rim.

Owning a 350z previously I am very familiar with Volks as they were one of THE wheels to have.

As much as I like the all the Volk wheels they just dont look right to me on a truck....not sure why. Although the weight and forged construction makes sense for the offroad set.

I like them too.....just wish they had a center cap. Look kind of unfinished, although they are a great looking wheel.

The BFDs do have a center cap. The Volk TE37 wheels do not have a center cap.

Most of our customers prefer the look of the BFD without a cap, but we do include caps with every set. I use center caps with my BFD wheels too. =)

:iagree: Harper7's explanation was correct.

The offset is relative to the wheel width, so both need to be taken into account.

The 9" wide / 0mm offset FN BFD wheel will have a 3mm wider stance vs. the 8" wide -10mm offset Countersteer Type X wheel. Since the BFD is wider and the offset is higher than the CSX, the BFD will have 23mm less inside clearance vs. the CSX.

The BFDs have about the same inside clearance as the OEM 4Runner wheels, meaning that the BFDs are about the same distance from the suspension as factory 4Runner wheels (with slight variances depending on exactly which OEM 4Runner wheels you might have).

To all those interested in what these wheels look like, I sent a check for my set today to FN Wheels. I hope to have the wheels in late next week and HOPE to have them installed that weekend and post up some pics. I went with matte black and I have a BP if it matters. Although I have yet to complete the transaction I will go ahead and say that so far Dustin at FN has been a pleasure to work with, very prompt with responses to all of my emails and phone calls (even on weekends) and willing to go out of his way to help the customer. So far so great.

I'm considering either these BFD's or the Countersteer X. Both in bronze.

Although I will probably Powdercoat to a darker bronze, the bronze on the BFD looks kinda light

She was on here a long time ago. Those are the volks though.

Oh I know those are Large PCD Volks, I had a set of TE37's on my car.

So that's the same 4Runner that was posted above by Harper?

Didn't think 18x8 +20 and a 295 wide tire could work clearance wise

I just got my FN BFD wheels last night and had them mounted by 11am this morning. They are awesome. I know :worthless but I have to install my lift tomorrow, clean her up, then post some pics. Stay tuned! They are worth the wait.

This is why black wheels are overrated, they don't show the beauty/details of the wheel. The gunmetal would have looked much nicer.
