Anyone know where to get OEM Toyota parts for cheap? I need door cladding.

I didn't get much response to my post in the general forum so I'll try here. I have a 2 month old 2004 black sport V6 which I was attempting to keep in pristine condition. Well one of my friends decided to open my passenger door right on top of a sidewalk decorative flower pot. Now I have gouges along the bottom and side edges of the lower door cladding.

Toyota wants $355 for this part (probably that high because it's painted), and I foudn a site called partznet where I can get if for $270. Is that the best i'm going to find it for? My buddies offering to pay for it, but I feel bad so I want to find the lowest price possible.

I am not sure if you would need the Limited part or the SR5/Sport Part. I assume you would need the limited part because yours is an 04. The thing that confused me was the SR5/Sport part said for 03-04 models. I would double check the parts you need!

I don't know if those parts are going to come painted from Toyota or not. Body panels usually only come primed -- so you may need to factor in the cost to get it painted (~$100 tops). Also, the gouges might be repaired/painted without the need for a new part. Check with a couple of body shops for estimates and to discuss how they would repair it.

Before you spend several hundred dollars stop by one of the scratch
and dent shops and get their opinion.. Many times these scratches can be fixed.

Thanks for the replies. I found out that the difference between the two parts (the one for SR5/Sport and the Limited) is that the limited part comes painted, hence the ~$100 difference.

I may take it to a shop to see if they can fix it without needing the whole part, but I don't know how much these places can do with plastic.

if it's on the bottom and side edges of the door cladding, have you considered leaving it the way it is and just try to clean it up a little? someone put two big key scratches on the rear panel of my truck where the gas cap is. the body shops wanted $350 to fix it. i finally decided to just order some langka with touch up paint and call it a day. it bothered me for a bit knowing it's there but after a while i don't even worry about it anymore. no one else really sees it unless i point it out, and i suspect your scratch may be the same. plus it's a never ending battle with scratches. you spend $350 to fix it, next week you could get one even worse! anyways, these trucks look ok with some scars. then you can take the 300 some odd dollars and go buy yourself a nice nice toy for the truck!

My friend who busted the door up is actually paying for it. He felt really bad about it and offered to fix it right away. I just want to get him the best price I can find though.
