Anyone put a recent double din Kenwood in their truck?

Got it installed but two minor issues
1. Had to shim the left side to get it even with the right after putting the dash parts back. This could be bad brackets or the dash part just isn't perfect.
2. The Kenwood came with a trim ring to install and the manual says it is only for Toyotas. I can't find any way to get it to attach. There just isn;t enough clearance. Wondering if anyone has done this

Pics?? Is it the radio trim ring or are you using an aftermarket bracket? Pics??

I just installed the Kenwood DMX7706S in my 4runner last week. I had the same issue with the trim ring. I think it only works when you use the square mount that the radio comes with. I was able to use the mounts that were on my old Alpine head unit.
