Anyone running 255/80/17 Tires Pizza Cutters

Looking forward to see how these actually measure.

This situation is killing me, I am running Hankooks that have about 75% tread left. They run great and I have no complaints with them. I don't NEED new tires but I WANT these Coopers.

Stupid- yes it is but those are nice tires and I can use another 1/2 inch lift.

I agree, I have the same thing going on here, do i want to put the 255s on now even though I'm running pretty much the same coop now in a 285 that is 80%.

I have ran Hankook in the past, and to be honest, if I did not like my Coopers so much, I would still be running Hankook, its a great tire.

Kings came on my 4Runner so I don't know the history on them. But the collars were only 2 threads from the top. I called King to ask about adjusting them and I was told that they are factory set and if I wanted more lift I need different springs.

Well I look at all the open threads below the collar and decided to adjust them anyways. Glad I did.

This guy may be in a similar situation.

His rig would look a lot better with a little lift up front.

I have not been happy with the price that I have found. There are not any available locally so it is costing more.

I am going to wait and see if the shops start to carry the size. I went to a wholesale distributor (ATD) and they did not have any local.

They are a rare tire around here. I've never seen one in person at a shop or on a vehicle. I only see them every once in a while on here and tacomaworld.

I think that's what I paid from tread depot. With shipping it would have been the same price from discount tire direct.

I called my local discount tire Friday and they had no problem matching the tread depot price of 180/tire. He would have to get them shipped in from Texas. I forget the exact numbers but out the door with road hazard warranties he quoted me right around 1000. I ordered my ToyTec BOSS lift yesterday so I'm going to stop by the store Tuesday and order the tires.

I really wanna run this tire but i just cant decide between this or keeping the stock size. I want a taller tire to go with my 3" lift, but this is my first vhicle with the mpg display and miles to empty and it has spoiled me lol and it would be practically useless after going to larger tires.

It wont become usless it will just go down faster. The distance to empty is based off the current mpg you're getting. For example if you drive around all the time with the pedal buried to the floor while carrying 3 tons of cargo the display will adjust accordingly. While you may not want to see the drop its certainly not useless.

Just placed my order at Discount Tire. Lift shipped from ToyTec today and the tires will be in later this week or next week.

The memorial day promo passed but the guy I was working with went ahead and took $25 off instantly, plus matched TredDepot.com at $180/tire. Grand total of $1007 out the door with road hazard warranty on all 4.

Stock Trail wheels. I thought about getting some Bronze Konig's or SCS wheels but just can't justify the cost when the TE wheels are some of the best OEM wheels out there. Money can be better spent elsewhere, i.e. sliders, armor, etc.

A set of Konigs will save you about 7lbs per corner which will offset the weight of those heavier tires some.
