Anyone Running Cepek Mountai Cats?

So I dropped off my LC wheels at the shop yesterday to have them Powder Coated.

I am still undecided on what tires I am going to buy but I know the size, 285's.

But I have narrowed it down to two Cooper STT or Cepek Mountain Cats.

Anyone running Cepek Mountain Cats ?

They look good and I read some reviews on line but I want to know first hand from you!

Your pros and cons and how many miles do they last, would you buy another set... etc...There was a recall on them back in 2008 but I think problems have been resolved.

Can't say anything about the Mtn Cats, but I'm happy with my STTs so far. I've had em a little over a month and they are pretty quiet on the highway and very smooth feeling. They are on the softer side as far as tread compound goes, which makes them work great in the slick stuff and they were doing just fine in the rocks for me. But I did chunk a couple of lugs a little.

I am running a set of **** cepek Mud Country's and I love em, not a whole heck of road noise. I cant say for wear because they have maybe 50 miles on em but so far so good. got em off ebay for 900 bucks and free shipping brand new.

If they are anything like other ****cepek tires they will probably last a long time.

My only issue is they are not listed on ****cepeks website, and from my research they are made for a certain tire shop. And they had some recall issues with some.

Im not saying the odd tread is a problem, but just a little weird. Goodyear has the same thing because i have seen Mt's at wallmart that must be a wallmart special tread.
