Anyone Running Dobinsons UCA? Opinions?

I need to get new UCAs - we can't get my caster over 2. I'm down to Dobinsons or the super adjustable SPCs.
I like Dobinsons b/c it's a set it and forget it low maintenance solution and since this is more of a roadtrip and camping rig than an offroad monster I like that idea.
But, I want to hear opinions from users. I want my caster to end up a bit over the recommended specs.

You can be SURE to get 4.0+ caster with the SPC's and the new gen are more than stout with more angle on the joint and a zerk for greasing. About $395. 30K on mine and flawless.

I've had my Dobinson's UCAs on for about a month and zero issues so far. Alignment went great and Mike was super to deal with.

Just getting ready to order my suspension from Dobinsons
including UCA's at 3.
long reach struts, heavy front springs, shocks, + 400/600 rear springs.

any feed back?
almost afraid to pull the trigger I really want to get this right the first time

I have the UCAs and the lift from Dobinsons and am very happy with both. Alignment went well, no issues with the UCAs so far, but they've only been on 3 months.

I got them due to being pretty low maintenance, price, and too many horror stories about the light racing SPCs. Although most likely the cause of the stories is that 80% of the forum bought the SPCs.

My JBA's are great and alignment came in at 4 degrees caster no problem.

Had them for a couple of years, get great caster and rest of alignment comes in well too.

So far, so good. The place I had press the ball joints and the alignment place both commented on the quality of the parts and how nice they were. Forgot to mention....4th gen.

I have been searching high and low on forums and the bowels of the internet and either their UCA's suck or they are just not very widely used. I will be ordering the kit (i modified their kit a tad) from them for my 2005 T4R early summer but I'm leaning towards going with the SPC's just cause they are a tad cheaper and I'm able to get the caster I may or may not need.

I didn’t like the Dobinsons UCA because they don’t have grease zerks. I put Dirt King tubular UCA and was able to get 3.5 castor. Build quality looks to be top notch and easy to service. Install was easy and they come assembled.

There is easily over 100 guys on this forum running our UCA's, but I guess they haven't seen this thread.

A sealed ball joint undoubtedly lasts a really long time. Anyone with a 5th Gen running stock UCA's for over 100K miles? I doubt they have ever touched their upper ball joints. That's why we used exactly the same kind as stock, since they'll never have to be touched.

I have run different UCA's and installed many different UCA's for people. The Dobinson's were my favorite IMO. I had uniballs that needed too much attention and squeaked. My buddy that runs the Dobinson's that I installed has not had a single issue. I'd highly recommend dealing with Mike @ Dobinsons for all your suspension needs.

I couldn't get past the first few pics they posted of the tubing notches and welds...So I also went with DK bushing/ball joint uppers. Seen a lot of good feedback on the Dobinsons though. I'd rather go with them then those JBA's....JBA just seem sketchy for some reason lol.

Came down between the Dobinsons and Camburg ball joint UCA’s for me. I ended up going with Camburg. Very happy with them, but did get Dobinsons springs, which I’m also very happy with.

Just ordered a set of Dobinsons UCA for my pavement queen 2019 Limited 3" lift (spacers, diff drop, sway bar drop, upgraded bumpstops) will up date once installed.

Any suggestions/ helpful hints on installing them..seem to be a straight forward install but never hurts to ask?

It's super straight forward to install. Just remove the old stock ones and bolts these in the reverse method.
