Anyone tried Tornado fuel saver?

I just got one from ebay for my 03 v8 2wd. Will keep you guys updated on the result. I have 4500 miles on the car. I am currently getting only 16-16.5 mpg (diving trip by gallons added, not from the computer result) for combined driving w/ K&N airfilter. Even 1 or 2 MPG more will help a lot.

Anyone tried the Tornado yet?

it's a POS. You're better off just giving the money to one of us here.

Most of those fuel saver items don't work. If they did, you would think the mfg would have already installed it!

looks more like a restriction than anything and a restriction in the intake or exhaust will cost you jpower.

I've talked to poeple who have tried it and they have reported no gains what so ever with it! Also they had a problem with it staying in place and working it's way sideways or up the intake tube to the throttle body. It's a POS! Don't do it.

The only way something like that would work is if it was able to generate significant boost pressure. When that happens it's called a Supercharger. Unfortunately the tornado device can't even come close and so is nothing more than adding a restriction to air flow.

I would expect you'd lose about 1 HP by putting it on, certainly gain nothing in MPG.

BTW, if all you want is improved gas mileage, look first at your tires - are they up to pressure, are they old and worn, are they the right purpose tire for your driving conditions? You'll gain a LOT more from that than trinkets

It does not work

I just removed the Tornado thing and send it back for a refund. There is no gain.
