Anyone try ebay ouku head unit?

Wife is giving me back the 4runner and thinking about changing out stock hu. searching on ebay, i see this import, ouku and others. saw some videos on you tube. doesn't look bad for 100-200 bucks. Anyone else give it a try? experience? has bluetooth, nav, dvd, even tv tuner. not worried about power output as have amp and replacement speakers i can install.

Yeah, my friend had one in his Jeep. Stay the hell away from these things. Nothing but problems and made in China.

I had one on my Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot and now my '05 4Runner. Great for the price. By no means the best unit but it does the job. Navi, Dvd, usb sd card, bluetooth and rear view camera. Everything works great. The one I put in my 4runner is actually direct stock replacement which means no face plate kits are needed and steering controls work with no swi adapter. You just have to make sure you get the axxess adapter for the jbl system. In my opinion this unit is better than some of the name brands for the simple fact that I can use my steering controls with no mods or adapters. You can buy a cheap rear view camera for $20 but I opted to buy a better quality one for about $100. FYI make sure they give you an original sd card with the gp map.

In-dash receivers aren't that expensive these days and are kind of a btch to install (for me anyway).

I'd save my money and buy the cheapest Alpine I could find. The Alpine in my last car was pretty much bulletproof. Even after someone tried to pry it out of my dash and steal it, breaking part of the faceplate and screen it never even had a hiccup.
Car audio stuff, In my experience, is one of those categories where brand names really do make a difference.
Compare the sound quality and output of a JL amp to an Audiobahn one. It's impossible because there's no comparison. :wink2:
