Anyone using brakes from Advance Auto?

I have a coupon for this month from Advance Auto and I'm due for a front brake job.

Any of you guys running brakes (rotors + pads) from them?

My coupon is for $20 off of $100 or more (obviously rotors + pads will meet this price minimum).

I just did my front brakes. Got the pads and rotors from Autozone. But my calipers were frozen so I had to track down the right casting for my 4runner. Advanced Auto had them and they were priced right with all of the caliper hardware included (pins, clips, etc..)

Just check around to see if your local store has calipers for your truck. Both of mine were frozen and I had to waste an hour or so tracking them down while my truck was taken apart. That way if you do end up needing them you know where to go and the job goes much quicker.

I'v used the better qual Adv Auto stuff on some of my vehicles before.

Put them on the girlfriend's 2003 Limited. Make sure you use a good amount of anti-sqeal on the back of the pads. They work fine.

I have had to replace my rotors/pads twice within a 3 months period... and my brakes were from there. But the pad disapeered and there was like 5 huge gashes in my rotor from metal on metal. I replaces the first time because when i got on my brakes the car just shook like crazy! So i replaces within 3 months i had to replace again because there was just a huge freakin gash in in the rotors and now its better after the replacement still a little ****ty breaks maybe because i cant replace them well enough but part of the prblem was everytime i hit the break and released the pad stayed pressed and would rub and it kept ahppening till eventaully there was no break pad!
