Anyone using Reese Strait-Line sway control?

I was planning on installing a WD/sway control system for my 6x12 cargo trailer. I'm moving from NC to WA, so it'll be a long drive across windy plains, mountains, etc. My trailer weight looks like it'll be around 2500-2800lb, tongue weight around 300.

I got a Reese Strait-Line WD/sway control, and I hit a snag painfully early in the installation--looks like the shank doesn't fit in the receiver of my '13 TE. The corners of the Reese shank are a bit less rounded than the T4R's receiver hole so they don't fit.

Will the Reese system just not work? Any recommendations for others?

I tow two different trailers, a 6x12 enclosed cargo trailer and a 25 ft travel trailer. Trust me you will not need a WDH for that. Load it heavy to the front and you'll have no problem. I do have an airlift 1000 on the rear that keeps the rig level, but even before we installed it the trailers both tracked very well. Keep it at 65 mph or under or you will really see your mpg's drop.

I tow in your range quite often, and use a multi axis hitch setup. I agree, I don't see a need for anything other than airbags and a good brake controller.

Check your tire pressures often.
