Anyone Watch Top Gear?

Yeah, the Bolivia special is one of the best episodes ever! I've still yet to see the Polar special. I can't find it anywhere.
 
Just curious for the people who like this show, have you seen the uk version?
I think I would like this show, if I had not watched the Uk top gear as it just blows this one away.
I think they copied to much of the uk version and are trying too hard to be the same as them and it just falls flat, like there trying to hard. It would have been nice if the producers actually had some creativity and made differences between the shows and develop it as they go. Instead to me it's a somewhat entertaining clone.
 
i watch the show. i havent seen the UK version though.
i mostly watch it..to watch Tanner trash high end cars. like last nights episode closing down city streets in LA so he can trash the Porsche. the other guys i could care less about. or their challenges. but when they bring out the super cars thats when i like it.

But its called Top Gear America and it uses the Top Gear name , and the challenges on Top Gear are what people love, American Top Gear was only following what Top Gear did right, as did Top Gear Australia. I have seen every episode of Top Gear and the first 2 season's were ok, but the first season of American Top Gear blows it away, but no one compares apples to apples, i doubt many of you are watching season 1 episode 3 or British Top Gear, but I'm sure Season 13 episode 2 is quite a bit more appealing.

And even if Top Gear America isn't the greatest, why the hell are you driving away a car show from TV, there is British Top Gear, and some sh!tty shows on the Speed network and thats it, you guys really want to drive away a show that is at least somewhat cool from the regular channels of TV.

You know, I think I completely agree. The US version just seems like a bad knock off. The should have tried to make it their own instead of a clone.
 
Apperantely, toyota stopped top gear from using their new vehicles in tests and such. This is just a rumor I've heard.

Really?!?! That's weird, I never heard that. I wonder why.

I do remember on the UK version they tested the Toyota iq or something once.

My issue is the ever growing lack of creativity in both TV and Film. I know it's a money game these days, so the safe money is on a platform that has already proven to be successful. Doesn't mean I have to like it!

To which I don't. There can be only one.
 
it would be awesome if they did a clash of the suv's kinda thing. one suv representing each country.

japan = 4runner

USA = explorer

UK = LR4
