Thanks for the info. I'm assuming this rate is per axle, $330 for one CVJ reman minus $190 refund for the one core return (or is this total for 2 axles?

If anyone has any current prices for a dealer reman, would love to know that too.

Nope, that's a pair.
Edit: that's with their high angle boots. IMHO the best deal for OEM remanned axles.

Even when I had the diff drop in...I still had to replace the axles. So yeah I was quoted $520 and change. That's for 2 axles and shipping. I'm ok with it since I really like the idea of the silicone boots. And then my local shop has quoted me $210 to install both. So I need to wait until I can afford it. Until then I'm just going to do normal driving. Either that or I just get one of their stock axles and save up to do the silicone off road axles upgrade another time. At the end of the copy & paste email below he mentions checking clearance for the off road style axle. I'm not sure about that and haven't done any research yet.

Your cost is $141.95 ($99.00+42.95) each plus a core deposit of $95.00 each. Plus freight (UPS ground) which is about $47.00 or less for two in the US. Nevada will cost less.
The core deposit of $95.00 is refunded when you return the core. These are critical cores and should be returned within 30 days for full credit.
The core must be the same original Toyota axle. Aftermarket axles cannot be rebuilt and are poor to begin with. Link: How to ID Toyota axle
These are original manufacturer axles that have been completely Remanufactured by us. You get OEM steel and design where it counts at a much better price than new, with CVJ reliability. The axles have a limited lifetime warranty. When used for offroad or in lifted trucks we cannot warrant the axles.
The red silicone boots for the Inner joint are $42.95 each (we can install them on axles we build for you). Many offroaders prefer these for higher angles saying they last longer.
Each lift kit is different. These can help if your inner boots are rubbing on themselves or have longer travel. With the red boot there are a lot more convolutions (ribs) so they can be stretched out so they don't rub or don't rub as much. Also the silicone handles abrasion better than neoprene. These won't be much help with severe angles.
{We have heard of a couple reports of suspension combinations that do not provide adequate clearance for this boot}. As a rule of thumb you will need an extra inch of clearance from the existing boot (radially & along the shaft). Please check the clearance before ordering.
There is no warranty on these boots.

So being cost restricted right now and my tax return wasn't as much as I had hoped, I'm just going to get just one rebuilt OEM axle from CV J Axles out of Colorado. Another time when I have the $500+ for the off road CVJ's from them, I'll do it. So maybe next years tax return! This is what Ruffian's axle looks like as of this morning. I'll take photos and post them up after the install. My appt. for that is Sunday March 1st.

Yes. Call the company or check out their website. The one I got from them, stock CVJ---not the red boot heavy duty one---is doing just fine. I will do business again with this company and save up enough to get 2 of the more heavy duty ones.
I called their company and the lady who answered the phone doesn't recommend getting the silicone boot upgrade for stock right height, saying I'm probably wasting my money since I am not lifted I don't need them.
What do you think? I heard their boot is not like OEM and it's neoprene?
I read on another post someone got the regular CVJ axle with black boot and had to do the "boot slide" cuz it the ribs look a bit crunched up, (I wasn't sure if that guy's truck is lifted or not) I am trying to avoid any problems as I am bringing the pair of axles to a mechanic and don't want them to mess with the clamps and such.

sorry to revive an old thread but thought this would be a good place to post this. Just installed my daystar lift a few months ago and noticed my passenger side CV is slightly torn. I will definitely go with this company once my other side tears and I've installed my upgraded suspension. I will be going with either a eibach 3" setup or an OME 3" setup. Once that's in I'll tackle the CV's. Just out of curiosity how long do most ppl have from the time a CV boot starts leaking to when it NEEDS to be replaced. I have heard it's when you start to hear clicking when turning. Just curious, am I looking at weeks, or months, or possibly a year if driven 80-90% on roads?

CVJ in Denver Colorado comes highly recommended from a few different forums. They do factory OEM rebuilds and they offer a beefier silicon inner boot for the increased angles with a lift. I'll be installing a pair this weekend and taking lots of pictures and possibly putting together a write up if there is any interest. If not just check my build thread later next week. Here is what they look like.
I recently put these on after blowing 3 CV's - one OEM and 2 aftermarket. So far so good.

I actually just replaced these with some new CVJ axles. They really are great axles. My original set held up for a little over a year until I got a cut in the outer boot of my driver-side axle, likely from road debris. I replaced it with a new CVJ axle with an HD boot and they held up great until about a month ago when I was changing my LCA's and noticed the outer boot on both axles appeared to be dry rotting on the peaks of the fins near the knuckles. Sure enough a few weeks went by and my passenger side boot sprung a leak. I got in contact with Steve at CVJ and after discussing my issue with him he mentioned that they do offer another upgrade on these axles for the outer boots. They use OEM boots for the knuckle side since they are made from plastic material and not rubber that prevents them from drying out and cracking. The only issue is that they do not seal as well as the rubber boots. I went ahead and order a new pair and so far I like what I see. I will try to keep my build thread updated if I find any issues with them.

I'm looking to join the 4th gen crowd soon so I was cruising this section. I saw the posts on CVJ axles so I thought I would share my experience. I replaced my stock axles shortly after a 2" lift(W/diff drop) on my 3rd gen. The upgraded silicone boots wore just as bad. with in 3 months, boots on either end had significant grooves worn in the ribs closer to the ends. It seems that shorter ribbed boots would fare better. I sold my 3rd gen about a year ago or so Im not sure how they held up. Just my experience for what its worth
