Anyone with Savage skids and a 5-speed? Manual=different crossmember?

Anyone get these skids mounted with a manual transmission? Holes aren't lining up for me and am fairly sure it's due to my 5 speed having a different crossmember from the autos.

Can anyone prove me wrong or confirm my suspicion?

As it turns out they are actually slightly different in where the holes are around where the transmission bolts. I put mine next to an auto and got underneath with a tape measure and confirmed.

What has savage said about this? These skids are on my list but I also have the manual. If I purchase them, I'd expect them to bolt right up without any messing around or drilling new holes in the skid plates.

Interesting makes sense I just eyeballed it so that's probably why I didn't see the difference. Also my skid plates bolted right up no issues so I was also basing my assumption on that. I'm glad to hear u got it figured out and I'm a little disappointed that you had to go through all this extra work.

Savage (Roy) was unaware there was a difference. He suggested drilling the one needed hole which is what I was already intending to do. It's just one 3/8" hole through a thin crossmember no big deal to me. It is surprising to me that no one else has run into this before though. It was a little frustrating trying to figure out what I was doing wrong and hopefully my pain can save people in the future.

I say if you want the skids order them and just know you are going to need to drill one hole. If you are totally opposed to drilling then you could get the front set only since it bolts right up. Also I suggest calling Roy he is more than willing to answer any questions or concerns you might have. I called him both before and after placing my orders.
