^ya, emma watson was the main reason i decided to see it. Its a drama, so not a fast paced movie, but I would guess there is oscar potential.

^what gen 4runner do you have?

Is the ultragauge the best code reader?

4th gen, I found a good VSC thread that explained that any scan tool or data logger that uses the ODB2 port will sometimes ping #14 pin looking for a CANbus signal and that accidentally erases the 4Runners zero point data.

As far as the Ultragauge it's a matter of personal preference I suppose. I bought it because of the price. here is a pic of mine.

^nice. Rebel we seem to be the only ones interested in chit chatting.

Well, happy new year T4R!

Yea idk what it is, this is the only forum I've been on that didn't have a general chit chat thread. I keep thinking if I bump it enough times people will get interested.

I get bored when there isn't anything going on when I'm on duty and like to browse the forums

Depends. Are you gonna buy a jeep so you can set it on fire and shoot it? Or are you buying it to replace your toyota....:cry2:

I'm buying it because I want a trail rig and it's cheaper and easier than finding an SFA and 5 speed 1st gen 4Runner

LOL I'd never replace the 4Runner with a Jeep are you crazy? A nice Silverado maybe but never a Jeep.

Hahaha I know I'm kidding. I like some of the older jeeps though, you tryin to find a somewhat built one? Like an old beater on 37's w/ locker?

I'm very close to buying an 01 Jeep XJ with your most basic 4" short arm lift kit and 31" BFG T/A KO's. The body is solid and has a nice single DIN radio with iPod/AUX hook ups, CB radio with PA, 2 cheap ass Walmart quality sub woofers.

It's a Jeep so it's a little rougher than most vehicles it's age but it's a good starting point for a fun vehicle. Price is decent too $2700.

Gotta love how Chrysler products absolutely do not hold their value.

That's not bad at all, definitely a good starting point. If you buy it, get those tires switched out so you can actually take it off road lol

Tires will be staying for awhile, there are a few little things I want to do to make it handle better like replace the stock upper control arms and get new bolts and bushings on various steering and suspension parts. The bolt on the track bar has been rounded off so that's a good sign.
