I've always found it interesting that Co2 is bad.....I forgot, what is it that plants breath in???

Hmm sounds like a conspiracy to me.

Also, I wonder if any of those yuppie city folk, ever stop and research exactly what's needed to produce their, priuses, leafs, and volts? Last time I checked it wasn't a bunch of green chemicals that got the job done.
 
^It's not that CO2 is bad, its that too much CO2 is bad. There is a point of saturation at which trees/plants/the environment cannot absorb anymore CO2.

The environmental impact of Hybrids/electrics/etc has been copiously studied. They are still a net gain.

depending on who you talk to. the amount of diesel and other resources it takes to get the lead for the batteries and all the other shit isnt worth it

^ yeah okay I can go along with that, I guess a sponge can only hold so much water.

I'm still not a believer of electric cars, I can agree that conventional fuel burning cars are old news and we can make major headway in the technology of the internal combustion engine. However I always felt that electric cars are a bandaid for the problem and not the answer. For the small percentage of people that drive them, the data would show its the answer however let's just say everyone had an electric car. Let's reverse the ratio of fuel/electric, now all of a sudden we are in a demand for electricity and fuel is not in such demand. That previous statistic of the advantages will be turned on it head, what was once a good thing as now become bad. Solar/wind and water alone can't even provide our people with enough energy just for modern households let alone powering transportation needs.

What truly needs to happen is a techno advancement in batteries. The amount of oil needed to create modern batteries is enormous. I understand that maybe once the vehicle is made it can have a moderate positive impact, but just getting it to that point is a monster of bad bad properties going through a chemical reaction of which there is no returning from.
 
Does anyone on here own a Wii U?

I've been thinking of picking one up today. Wasn't a huge fan of the wii but seems like this new system has decent graphics and has ditched a lot of the gimmicky motion gaming.

Nintendo's always had great games. Lots of great exclusives and most importantly they were always the most fun to play, especially multi player with friends. Maybe not as in depth as a lot of the titles on the other big boys but I never really get into those types of games anyway. If I play games its usually for half hour to an hour tops and I like something I can just sit down and get into right away, not waste time watching cinematics and waiting for a story to develop.

Is it just me, or is that the worst spot on the car carrier? Had a blanket covering the liftgate, but the rear bumper was totally exposed.

It's just you. Like it won't ever be exposed to highway driving...
 
Haha. Ya you're probably right, but personally would have stayed off the mountain passes it travelled through to get here until spring just to avoid the sand and gravel this time of year.

Dealership called this morning and told me it would be ready on Tuesday. Four days to do a pre delivery inspection?! Pretty disappointing as I was hoping to have it for this weekend. Like I said to the dealer that's like delaying Christmas!

Jay you hit the nail on the head my gear head God that you are. You get car and the soul behind them. It's the time passion and sweat tears that go into it. Low Riders are not my thing and never really have been,but I will say this. I do love the craftsman ship and passion that go into building them and that's what I love about the low rider crowd. The men that build them are some of the best custom builders I'll be as bold as saying in the world. The skills on fabrication, body work and paint are just bonkers amazing. The sheer man hours into a quality build can be hundreds of hours and take years to put on the street to just cruise and that's what I love about the low riders.....
