Anything special I need to know for changing out steering rack

My new one comes in this afternoon and I will be installing this eve. as far as the bleeding. That was my main concern

Bleeding is easy. With front raised and the engine off, slowly turn the wheel from lock to lock several times, pausing for a few seconds at each lock. Then with the wheels on the ground and the engine running, do the same thing again. Inspect the fluid and keep repeating the process until no air is visible.

When I changed out my rack, the biggest hurdle was removing the pressure line from the rack. It was totally seized and I had to cut the line and buy a new one. The techs at the dealer told me this was fairly common.

Thanks man. I live in charleston sc. So rust isn't typically an issue. Ill post up the results later

i guess i hopped a few gears on the inside of it last weekend. i hit some rocks really really hard. made it up....but hit em hard. vehicle will not steer/drive straight. and leaking fluid.
