Arriving at 17 (?) Palms Oasis we were encourage to form a pretty line for a photo op.

Reading the travel log at the Palms Oasis. People from all over the world have journeyed here and written a message in a log book that is housed inside a barrell inside a group of palm trees

Phalanx checking out this hill at the Pumpkin Patch. I wish I could post a video - you hear in the background Phalanx's much better looking partner crying out "I can't look..." It was pretty steep and at one stage when the front locked on the way down it looked possible for the truck to simply roll off the side and tumble over. I think we were all pretty impressed with how easily the truck climbed up and over. He even got the two front wheels to break free of the ground as he hit the crest. Props dude!

Yes, that was him on top of the hill and here he is climbing up. It sure looks steeper in real life!

I tried something a little more tame.....it was scary coming over the back because you could never be sure if a bike rider was about to fly over the top in the other direction and land on your roof :p

Driving the Power Line Trail - lots of dips down and up had a few of us stock suspension guys dragging our arses a few times

Via our 2 way radios we had some good conversations as we drove along taking in the sights. David said we were pretty lucky to see the Anza plant in bloom following the heavy rains we had had in SoCal. They had some very colorful red flowers on them which the wife wanted to stop and take photos of but...well....suffice to say...we didn't...

Looking for dunes...where are those damn dunes? Just a few minutes after this shot a Ranger told us there were no dunes around here...damn!
