Look at my earlier comment.....I have had Android phones. I have owned 4 different Blackberrys before those. The insurance is simply that. Drop it, get it wet, run it over....whatever. If I Have to have it replaced I have simply asked for a different model and my local Verizon store works it for me, no rocket science.
Also as mentioned, I have 3 phones on the account. I have an upgrade available every 8 months or so. Any phone pisses me off too much and it's easily gone (and I've kept my iPhone for 1 1/2 years).

Ok, your story just sounds odd. You kept TWO iphone 4S that barely works (due to Apple's incompetence) for over 1.5 years........despite the fact that you could upgrade every 8 months. You have had Android phoneS...yet, you chose to stick with two crappy iPhone 4S for over 1.5 years. Did it ever occur to you to upgrade to iPhone 5 (or to whatever else you want) so that you have warranty coverage???
Why upgrade now since iPhone 5S is no different than 5 other than internals?
You had restore twice in 1.5 years. Big freaking deal! I had to restore my Note 2 with latest software within 3 months! I beat you!
Why did you have to wait NOW to draw your line in the sand? Because Obama did it with Syria?
I would have dumped those crappy 4S long time ago with your upgrade eligibility! Why didn't you buy AppleCare with your 4S? Yet, you will buy it for Android? Weird.For me, i don't buy insurance for phones. I don't like to pay for something that warranty should take care of. And if i am out of warranty, then yeah, i suck it up like a big boy. I take care of my stuff. Yeah, i am rough with them (thus i buy well-made cases), but not careless. And since like you, i can upgrade twice every year due to my family plan, i don't hang onto crappy stuff too long...certainly not 1.5+ years!
So, yeah, your story has holes...but hey, whatever floats your boat dude. We are here discussing iPhone 5S/5C. BTW, for me, Apple has treated me fairly...but that is probably because i don't act like an ass with their service folks.

Interesting read and shows that Apple put a lot of thought into 5S camera. It isn't the same 8MP camera with new software.

Here is a post that i found interesting and informative about A7 and 64-bit:
"The performance advantages of going to 64-bit very much depend on the entire software stack (kernel, drivers, compilers, apps) being optimized for 64-bit. The ability to address more than 4GB of memory is one clear advantage. But even if the smartphones today don't have 4GB of memory, there are some other performance advantages as well - provided that the entire software stack is optimized for 64-bit processing. The data paths, register files, caches, etc. are now 64-bit, so more data can be processed per clock than with 32-bit architecture - but the key here is that the compiler (part of the software development kit) must know how to take advantage of the wider data paths and 64-bit resources. If the compiler is optimized, then the kernel, drivers, and apps (which are compiled with that compiler) will see performance boost. I would expect that integer operations, and especially floating point operations (which often need 64-bit data representation), would be faster. Data-intensive games in particular will stand to gain the most if they are properly compiled and optimized.
If the compiler is not optimized, then there is really not much performance gain by just merely going from 32-bit to 64-bit.
When Apple said that the iOS kernel, drivers, etc. have been "re-engineered for 64-bit", I suspect that they did a lot of performance tuning that I mentioned above.
In addition, note that Apple also doubled the sizes of the register files in the A7. This means that more data can be kept in the register files, which can be accessed by the processor's computational units much quicker than the data in memory (or even in caches).
Note also that Apple mentioned "modern instruction set". I suspect that this means that the 64-bit instructions are optimized with the underlying 64-bit hardware. This is different from the Intel world where the performance of the existing x86-64 architecture is severely hindered by the old legacy stuff.
Having said that, I suspect that, in order to get the 2X performance gain over A6, Apple might also do something else in the A7, such as adding more computational units, tweaking pipelines, memory fetching units, cache / branch prediction, etc. Of course, this is just pure speculation as I have no inside knowledge of what Apple has done.
By the way, I think the rest of the industry is moving to 64-bit soon. I heard that Samsung will have 64-bit processors in their smartphone lineup next year (2014). If there is no performance gain for moving to 64-bit, then Samsung and others would not do it. Note also that the AllThingsD article points out that the road to 64-bit for Android will be harder and longer than for Apple.
With Google acquiring Motorola and Microsoft doing the same with Nokia, I think the rest of the industry recognizes that the tight integration of hardware and software has some good values after all.... It would be very tough for Apple to be unique going forward...."

Ask Weiner! He probably appreciates the HDR capability of the new iPhone!
On a more serious note, you need a fast processors these days to play games (HD games), multi-tasking, advance photo modes, etc.. Remember, there is a whole lot of processing going on with every photo that you take, esp. with the new 5S. And if you're from Android, then you need a mighty processor to keep it running smooth and lag-free...along with plenty of RAM.

Damn, I'm behind the times. I take photos with my 5dmkii, still use a Garmin, play games on my 360...
My phone is used for Pandora, text messaging my wife (she's of the new young generation who'd rather text than call), listening to music (those old school MP3s) and those odd things called phone calls.
Seriously. I have no apps on the damn thing.

Then you seriously wasted money getting a S4. You should have bought those lowly Android free phones from your carrier. If you did get S4 at a bargain, then you should have turned around and sell it for profit!
Do you carry your 5DMKIII around everyday and every minute? Garmin is outdated compared to Google Maps. And frankly, with that big screen of yours, why are you even using Garmin?!! That is not being old-school, but rather not smart in taking advantage of what is there.
I love how some folks resort to this line of tactic/reasoning..."i still pick up the phone to call people" "i walk 10 miles uphill everyday" blah blah. Geez. Come on, give me a break! If you don't like that this is an iPhone thread or that i criticize Android, then DO NOT READ THE THREAD. Easy. Getting your panties all twisted ain't healthy!
BTW, my brother has the 5D...fabulous camera! Picture quality is amazing! But, then again, he carries a backpack to carry it around. No thanks...i will stick with my lowly Sony RX100 and phone camera.

The MkII pretty much goes with me everywhere I go, yes. I usually have a 50mm prime on it and it can go on cars, planes, trains, and boats. It also fits nicely into the center console. It's built like a tank and has taken a fair share of beating.
I like to listen to Pandora, can't do that and directions at the same time.
The S4 was 50 bucks, I'm not too heartbroken about that.
But, yeah, I really don't use my smartphone for much at all.

That is because folks from everywhere are trying to find faults in the TouchID. I am on Android forum and it is plain ridiculous what they say. So, yeah, these articles probably reflects that.
