READ THE WHOLE REVIEW. Geez. Denial denial denial. A7-64bit is a freaking beast...best in the world right now, bar none...and by far! TouchID is very useful and very accurate. Camera is a huge improvement esp in low-light.

Sorry, those three things are very noticeable in REAL LIFE...and has sold me on the 5S. Get it?

For those who think cores and GHz are everything, READ PAGE 2 OF REVIEW. And yeah, these Anandtech folks KNOW what they are talking about!

"The A7 SoC is seriously impressive. Web browsing is ultimately where I noticed the A7's performance the most. As long as I was on a good internet connection, web pages just appeared after resolving DNS. The A7's GPU performance is also insanely good - more than enough for anything you could possibly throw at the iPhone 5s today, and fast enough to help keep this device feeling quick for a while.

Apple's move to 64-bit proves it is not only committed to supporting its own microarchitectures in the mobile space, but also that it is being a good steward of the platform. The immediate upsides to moving to 64-bit today are increased performance across the board as well as some huge potential performance gains in certain FP and cryptographic workloads.

The new camera is an evolutionary but much appreciated step forward compared to the iPhone 5. Low light performance is undoubtedly better, and Apple presents its users with an interesting balance of spatial resolution and low light sensitivity. The A7's improved ISP means things like HDR captures are significantly quicker than they were on even the iPhone 5. Shot to shot latency is also incredibly low.

Apple's Touch ID was the biggest surprise for me. I found it very well executed and a nice part of the overall experience. When between the 5s and the 5/5c, I immediately miss Touch ID.

From a CPU and GPU standpoint, the 5s is probably the most futureproof of any iPhone ever launched. As much as it pains me to use the word futureproof, if you are one of those people who likes to hold onto their device for a while - the 5s is as good a starting point as any."

Well, clearly a simple old school dual core CPU outperforming quad cores and OCTA cores by a LARGE margin is pretty definitive, no?

And these tiny dual cores are ONLY running at 1.3 GHz. Ouch.

Yeah, sorry dude, Anandtech pretty much says it all above. I know that it hurts, but suck it up!

EDIT: by the way, A7 killing everyone with only 1GB of RAM!

Your shiny new iPhone 5s will not have 4GB of RAM, it will not be noticeably faster to 99.9% of the actual users, who actually use the phone, as a phone. It will not use all of the additional register space available. It will be years before the software is optimized for 64-bit, and by then, Apple will be slinging another "must have" "unapologetically plastic" phone to people like you. And you'll buy it. In fact, they'll be doing that to you about a year from now.

Finally, if cores aren't important, why are phone makers adding more? S4, LG G2, HTC One. I don't know. Clearly you know better.

And with that, I wish you well. Consider me schooled by your superior grasp of the facts.

Yeah, i think that you just got schooled...badly. Ouch. And yeah, Samsung, LG, and HTC don't know jack next to Apple's CPU knowledge...as clearly shown. (BTW, HTC is not really on the same level as those other big boys.)

Got mine this morning...10th in line. Surprisingly, Sprint store only had Space Gray...no other colors. Luckily, this is the color i wanted. Picked up 64GB model.

Fingerprint really works! Damn fast too!

The only issue was with the face down drop test where the 5C cracked its screen. However, i think that this is luck of the draw...whether the glass front hit the uneven stone walkway at certain angles. Either way, it looks like both held up pretty good.

After only half a day with the fingerprint unlock feature I found myself being annoyed that my ipad still made me type in my damn passcode!

I'm very happy with it and the total cost to me is only $20 once I get rid if my iPhone 5.
