April 2016 Meet and Run

I'm ready for a big bear or Cleghorn run, I've been wanting to go on a run with this forum! Let's do it and I hope 4wd is a must on the chosen trails

Interested in this run, would be my first ever. How intense are these trails? I do not have 4WD, would that be needed on these trails? and is this an overnight run with camping and everything? Or can we meet up with you guys early Saturday and run the trails all day with you guys? Thanks.

Cleghorn itself is 2wd friendly, although it does have optional off shoots that crisscross the main trail that are mostly 4wd, although there was a group from Tacoma World that went a couple weeks ago and a couple of the 2wd guys did the stuff that the 4wd guys were doing. It's mostly just picking the right line and keeping on the skinny to get through it.

I can't speak for the rest of the trails though because I've never been on them.

I'll likely be driving to where ever in the morning and making a day of it.

The trails are mostly easy and can be done in 2WD. There are harder offshoots for those who desire more of a challenge.

Sounds good, I might be up to make a day trip out of this. Anything I should need or purchase to be prepared?

I don't know. I'm more partial to Big Bear. Don't have a suggention on routes or anything but that's just my preference

Gotcha, nothing is stopping anyone from moving on after to Green Valley Lake and Big Bear areas. We can throw that out as the after party perhaps.

True, but only if there's no snow. I've learned my lesson about late snow runs haha. Mud can be sketchy too if your not careful

Lol damn Miah, really using some aggressive recruiting here. That still would have been my plan. But I'm definitely in for the Saturday run.
