I have a couple of the Baofeng handhelds and actual Baofeng programming cables as well that I can bring and I will meet you at 8, it's funny I was gonna message you to see if you wanted to meet early.

Good stuff... It only takes a few mins per radio but we can be done pretty quick with both of us. But I'll be at McDonald's at about 7:30, and the trail head by 8am.

I was planning on doing the harder run but if it's too muddy I might have to change it to the easy trail and just do some side shoots. I still have the stock tires.

Yeah that or at the McDonalds, it's near the bottom of the Cajon pass. I'll prolly meet there at 730am to get some breakfast before the trail meetup at 8am.

You're likely fine. There will always be people that don't show up and I haven't seen too much activity on this thread from some on the list.

I planned on updating everything before work yesterday, but Frontier took over for Verizon, and for no apparent reason, my internet broke at home. Frontier sucks, rant over.

I will advise the new guys attending to perform an inspection on their vehicle prior to arrival, check fluids, tire tread (especially with the likelihood of mud), etc. We don't want anyone to breakdown on the easy trail...that would be hard to live down.

Anyone that did not make it into the roster is free to come. We will assign you to a trail leader then if necessary. Bring clothes that you don't mind getting muddy.

First thing I'm doing when I get home from work tonight is greasing everything up.

The news said this morning that the chance of rain is scattered and mostly in the IE/Mountainous areas, so I'd definitely be prepared for rain and mud considering where we'll be. We all know how these news stations are, but I'd rather be ready for it just in case.

I'd rather test my tires and skills in a controlled situation than find out whether it works, or not, in an uncontrolled situation out by myself.

We will have a pretty good idea of how it will be on cleghorn. the trail gradually gets tougher, so If vehicles are slipping around and if is becoming dangerous, we will bypass some of the harder stuff. We will play it as we go. It's not worth slipping off the side of the mountain to prove your trucks ability. Safety first.
