Yeah, they are selling DESPITE any incentives like cash back or lifetime warranties.

Yeah, thanks 7harper. I am #005971 and I just got mine a month ago. The TE must not be very popular in TX.
 
just how many 4runners are being built a day. anyone? i think around 120 or so...wish i could go to tahara plant...i think they build the gx460 there too!:snacker:

I was really torn between the Limited and TE because of the Torsen center diff and fulltime 4WD of the Limited. However, I wanted the best off-road features (rear locker, approach / departure angles, etc), was willing to give up some creature comforts (climate control, heated leather, etc), and went with the TE. One thing I always disliked about my 4th Gen electronic 4WD was the lag when changing from 2H to 4H. Sometimes it takes forever to get into 4H. The part time 4WD on the TE shifts from 2H to 4H almost instantly - I like that and the TE is plenty comfortable for my needs. I guess I am not the "average" buyer.

I checked it this morning also for gulf states and there was nothing new. Bummer but we are still getting ours anyway!
 
It’s the same here in the Midwest or at least around Chicago area. No rebates offered and no Trail models to be found.

Same in the NE for special offers. However we do have Trail's here :) 5 just a short drive from me. One thing I find kind of odd is that one dealer has 6 4R's n stock but they are all silver!
 
No rebates is a good thing. That means resale value will be better when you sell! I plan on keeping mine awhile though so it probably wont make a difference for me.

Anyways I'm on Toyota's side, and hope they pull through this thing ok. By the look at the numbers they are doing good despite the media coverage.
