ARB Air Rear Locker

going to do front & rear, I have them F&R on my 84' FJ60 and it is awesome. I think FW only installed the front due to having the factory e-locker in the rear.

Interesting - they added a front locker which I did not know existed.

You guys that are installing - are you doing rear only?

I have used my locker quite a bit, through a bunch of different stuff, thus far I have never gotten into something that I needed a front locker.

The ARB guys have some cool videos examples:

So I am thinking about a locker for my limited. Which one of these three options did you guys get?

Anyone know which would be the best for me? I am lifting the truck with a stage 4/5 ICON set up soon and will be putting on 285 Duratracks with 18" Ultra Gauntlets. I don't think I would need to change the gearing so the bottom option (the RD193) looks like it should work right? Any input would be appreciated. I am not super knowledgable about lockers. Thanks guys.

I was researching this and the RD193 was the drop in, no questions asked part #. Of course you still need to add a compressor. Unless you have a need to change gearing (front and rear), why bother? It would be an added cost for only bragging rights. Unless you are good at working on diffs, hunt down a top notch 4x4 shop that can do the swap, don't trust general mechanics

Right I know I need to add the compressor. Ok sounds good. The RD193 it is. Phillyd2 you are in my area where did you get yours installed? Anyone know if Ducmonsta's shop will install these? I might give them a call.

I've been in a couple of situations where a front locker might have helped get me out of something, but definitely not often enough to justify the price.

My plans have scaled back so I'm only doing the compressor (ordered today) and ARB rear locker. Around here OK4WD in NJ is the best ARB shop from what I've heard. Not sure yet if they will be installing mine as they are about 1 hour away from me.

Good plan, I read your build the other day and thought you had them in already, maybe it was just the switches I saw? Yea Duc's shop is about an hour South of me but I would make the drive to get someone who has worked on a 5th gen before.

EDIT: Also what compressor did you go with?
