ARB Bumper

Folks, I have said this about 40 times on this forum, but I have been running OME suspension for MONTHS now.... I have been running the light duty coils in the front and they have done great, about 3" total lift....

Did you go with the ones listed for the Prado 150 springs and shocks or with the FJ Cruiser springs and shocks?

I'm asking because when I talked to them they said that they used the Prado 150 springs and shocks on the 4Runner they are testing

What size tires you runnin? They look good with the lift.

I am running the 884 front coils. (#2884) and everything works great. As for the rear I am running toytec coils because I have no extra weight back there yet, but I will be switching to OME coils later on once I get a bumper back there.

The tires are 285s

It looks like the bumper sticks out a foot from the front grill. The more I see this bumper the more I like the Demello one. Sorry ARB but you are loosing this battle in my mind.

Just an opinion.

I think the bumper looks much better here than in the first pic they gave us. I think it looks pretty good all around. They also did a sweet job with the lights/front locker. I am super excited to see what they do with the rear bumper!

Thanks for posting those, I agree that it looks much better on this truck as opposed to the stock TE in the original picture I posted. I can't wait to get a bumper on finally, now I just need to dig up that old post from Harper for a conversion to the TE fender flares. :frog:

Looks much better with the lift and tires. The bumper hides the cut stock bumper better than the Demello one too.

I like it too, but I agree it does stick out quite a bit up front and because of that makes the corners stick way out as well. I think it will be a pain driving with that off road on tight trails and trying to park in tight parking spaces. It looks like it adds 6" to the front corners.

But this is a Bull Bar so they are meant to be huge and protect everything up front which it does do very well.

I'm stoked they are working on a rear Tire Carrier according to one of the Facebook pics...That I want to see!!

I guess it just depends on what you're using it for, if it's not going to see much dirt than I can see how the ARB may be a bit much. Trying to park it in a tight space at the mall may be challenging but….I've already had mine out on a trail or two that was a little narrow for my liking. In that case, I would much rather it catch my bumper first so that I know I'm not going to fit as opposed to it doing damage somewhere else.

I can't find the picture that you are talking about for a rear tire carrier??? :(

Mine's far from being a mall crawler.....I'm just saying when you're trying to negotiate a tight turn or park in between vehicles in a parking spot for normal daily use, having something sticking out that far up front will make it all a bit more challenging.

The Demello one is more recessed, which is nice, however out of the two I would take the ARB, I have read many stories on other forums where the ARB has saved the vehicle and the occupants lives when they have hit deer and what not. Not much deer down here in So-Cal but just knowing that satisfies my needs. :D

There is a pic on the facebook album that has the rear stock bumper removed, the caption under the pic says they are working on a rear tire carrier...so hopefully it's a full bumper/tire carrier, that would be AWESOME!!

From what it sounds like it's not ARB working on the bumper, gonna be something custom by the shop that installed everything????

Thanks for the link, I would love to see a swing away tire carrier for the back along with a back bumper. Wishing and wanting…wishing and wanting.

The comments under the picture say that is going to be a product you can buy from EVO mfg. They make some pretty cool looking jeep stuff (:barf:) but I am guessing it will be something we will be order straight up. I am guessing by their site and products in wont be a full bumper, but I could be completely wrong. They just don't sell many huge complicated parts like full bumpers/tire carriers, mostly just simple but well built jeep stuff.

Needless to say I'm really looking forward to the idea of a rear tire carrier.

This bumpers growing on me, I like that it covers the bumper more than the demello, but I wish it had the rhino bar like the Rocktek bumper. I'd forsure buy one though.
