ARB Bumper

Well, we finally got our bumpers on. I know the pictures aren't that great but it's the best I could do at 10 o'clock at night. The first shipment of bumpers went out without 2 pieces so you will probably notice that they look a little "unfinished". ARB is in the process of getting those pieces out to everyone that ordered. Another problem that I had was that they don't work with my BudBuilts, they only bolt up to the stock skid…. All and all, I must say, these bars are bad*ss.

You will prob cover this the next time you post that is not 10 oclock at night, but what kind of sag did you get after the bumper. And on the grey 4runner in the last pic there is a gap below the fender to the bumper, any way part of the factory cover could cover that?

Also, did you have factory fogs? I was told that you could get the housing and use the factory fogs instead of buying new fogs, is dis true?

Is it just me or does Sam's 4runner look way taller? I know IceNomad is running 265's but it seems like the difference is more then just tires? Those bumpers look good though congrats

3. I along with some help was the installer and the cutter. I taped off mine and IceNomad's with a highlighter and cut them with a Dremel.

I didn't really get any sag but to honest, I haven't looked at it that close in the daylight yet either. There is a gap and it really bums me out. I don't know if it's because they used a TE like in the original pic or what but the directions even say that it's suppose to be that way???? I don't like the way it looks and I would have put my own touch on the cutting of it if I had known it was going to turn out like that.

We didn't try, we just put the new fogs in. Anything is possible

Thanks! Yes it is and I rub it in every time I get the chance. The difference is in our suspension systems.

With the missing pieces, it gives it a very unfinished look. Notice that IceNomads has a skid on the bottom and mine doesn't? That's because they are not compatible with my bud builts. The inner fender well is showing because there are two good size (lets's call them end caps) that go on both sides to finish the look. Without the two pieces that are missing, we don't have anything to connect them to leaving a lot of what's under there showing. As far as the missing pieces go, ARB is shipping them out ASAP to everyone, there were none included in the first shipment to go out. Their customer service was fantastic helping us out yesterday when we realized we were missing something.

1. Nope, but I can see my front end a lot better! I drove on the interstate last night for about 30miles and it was fine.

2. The driving lights are still there. We wired the turn signals so they function as driving lights as well. When you turn on the blinker, they blink and then when it is done, they go back to driving lights


hamiltonj2w1 - Mine is raked an inch, Sam's is level. You can see the difference in CV angle in the picture with both trucks. She also has larger, more aggressive tires than I do

Hawkdog21 - I am running toytec's and lost .25 of an inch in the front. Neither Sam nor I have a winch on in that picture, so add another 150 lbs and probably another loss of .25 in

Ciaz - The reason the gap is there is to allow for frame flex. If it was not there, you would push the moulding up into the front quarter panel. This way, it gives it room to move for flex, winching or impact. The project 4runner ARB is the exact same way and it was cut based on the template provided

I creamed a deer today and ruined just about everything on the front. I'm thinking the insurance company is going to help me buy a bumper.

I've been a fan of the ShrockWorks w/o bull bar. Any ideas from the peanut gallery about a release date or comparison to the great set up that is shown on this thread?

Have not heard anything new on a release date. Biggest problem with them is even if they "say" they are making a new bumper it will still take 1-2 months to receive the product.

They have no problem taking your money as soon as you order, then take their sweet *%$ time making it for you. Seems a little backwards to me

Not intending to hi-jack the thead, but there seems to be alot of good feedback on the likes and dislikes of the ARB bumper here so I figured I would post a quick reply in our defense

We have a truck schedualed to show up in February that we are going to use as a guinnea pig. First up on the priority list will be the front bumper, but we plan on doing a full line of products for this vehicle.

We arent a paying sponcer YET, so I will keep it short but expect to hear more from us very soon.
