Arb fridge for 356 plus free shipping

Just got off the phone with “June” the friendly customer service rep at JC Whitney

me: Hi June, I am just wondering when this order might ship?
June: I am really sorry to tell you this but there is an email about to go out informing you that this product is out of stock.
me: Oh bummer. Do you know when they will be back in stock?
June: It should be within two - three weeks. I can cancel your order so we can process a refund for you if you’d like.
me: I don’t mind waiting if it will ship when you have stock again.
June: If you don’t mind waiting, I’ll put a note in the file and it will ship within two to three weeks from now.
me: I am ok to wait. I just wanted to know what the status was as I saw it was still pending but payment had been received by JC Whitney.
June: It will ship as soon as we have the units.
me: Ok. Thanks June. At least I know I need to wait!

Who the heck knows. Willing to wait for a couple weeks if they don’t flat out cancel... Never know!

Kinda uncool IMO. They made a mistake, they should own up to it and honor it or they should at least do something. They are going to disappoint a lot of people :(

I just got off the phone with June also. She informed me that they are infact, cancelling all orders and everyone will be receiving their refund within the next couple of days. The other thing she told me was they had already shipped some out. So for the first few guys that placed the order when this was found an error will be receiving their fridges. I imagine it was the half dozen or so that were already in stock and they couldn't catch the problem ahead of time. She actually said that they will be contacting those customers and working out a "deal" with them. They are actually trying to catch the ARBs BEFORE they get delivered and doing a "stop delivery action". So, if you have the fridge in hand, you win. If not, well, we all knew this was too good to be true. I guess I'll just have to spend the $600 it actually costs....someday.

Yet they still have it listed at the $356 price on their website right now:bash:

I bet I could talk to June right now and she would tell me something completely different than she told bimrunner and Ducmonsta

Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing, lol.

I've ordered from JCWhitney before in the past and I can't say I'm surprised to be honest. Nothing really bad to say about them, but certainly not a go to store for me.

Hopefully, at least some of you (*cough* bimrunner *cough*) end up getting your fridges!

I'm just really disappointed. If you guys wouldn't have all ordered right away and maybe kept the orders in check then it would have taken them a while to realize the pricing mistake.

...rookies....

Not really sure whats going on. I checked the status of my order and it went back to "processing". This is after the customer rep told me it would have to be canceled.

Mine is in "processing" too. When I spoke to June she was well aware of the issue and it's been a huge problem for them in the past three days. They are just trying to backtrack everything now.

So funny. Ducmonsta you made your post about talking to June 35 minutes after bimrunner was told by June his order was good to go. She must have learned a lot in 35 minutes.

Anybody think arguing will do anything if they tell us our order is getting cancelled?

Ha! Maybe all of their phone gals are named June. The one I spoke with definite had a Filipino inflection in her voice. bimrunner What time did you talk to her today? I posted my response almost immediately after I got off the phone.

Ducmonsta it was about 5 min before I posted. Lol. Wonder if she is the only person who answers for tracking orders. Probably started wondering why all these people who ordered fridges were so worried about tracking the progress and shipping. Lol. I'm certain it was the same June with the accent.
jbstrd I don't think arguing is going to do a darn thing. Being nice and understanding might, but it was a pretty darn clear error on their part. Personally, I think they should offer to sell them to us at cost as a reasonable compromise, but I'm pretty sure they are just canceling all the orders.

Yea, the gal I spoke to had a definite accent as well. Didn't get her name though.

By "argue" I certainly meant respectfully. I wouldn't expect them to care about losing a customer who is an a** to them.

Just going to ride it out and see where it goes from here. Not too confident it will come though.

First rule of fight club, never talk about fight club.

Cardinal rule of online deals ARE NEVER EVER call CSR. NEVER call to check on order. LET THE ORDER PROCESS.

Once i saw you guys calling, I am like WTF. I'm not getting it. The first person that calls, then second, third etc.

If this was slickdeals or fatwallet, OMG there will be a UPROAR. One of those geeks will track you down and be at your door faster than Dominoes can deliver a Pizza to your door. "WTF dude, why did you call?"

Brown Santa comes through

arb_zps6e66efa0.jpg~original

OMG, my brown santa is really brown, more like bro santa. Gonna be glad to see bro today.

Where did it ship from?
When did you put your order in?
When did you get it?
Why am i asking so many questions?

So i can guage if and when it shipped out, to see if i am getting it. Since my order also went back to processing from cant fulfill item.

LOL man you are easy! that is a pic form last year when I paid full price! Sorry couldnt resist...... hope you all get them delivered that would be one helluva deal!
