ARB Fridge Issues.

50Q Bought in 2012 but not extensively used. For the past two days it’s been plugged into 110 on the deck but today it would not turn on. Well, the internal light comes on but it doesn’t cool and the LED display shows no signs of life at all. Check the rear fuse and even the electrical plug and all are ok.

Any thoughts?

I would contact ARB technical support. I had an issue when I first purchased my fridge and it would not turn on. They were super helpful and thorough.
 
Hey Dave, (or anyone else :) ) while you have yours out, would you mind taking a picture of the inside right hand side of the cooling coil without the basket? Mine has this weird pattern where the cooling channels are, I think its where it comes from the compressor, it gets super cold in that one spot and I am wondering if it is normal. Would greatly appreciate :thumb:

So, you are complaining that yours gets too cold in a thread by a poor guy asking for help because his doesn’t get cold at all. That’s cold dude. :smash: :bounce:

They have always been good to me so that's the plan. I just posted in case I was missing something obvious.

lol no it only gets cold in one spot. So not sure which is worse one frozen beer in the middle of twenty three warm beers or...
 
I know everyone is constantly refreshing this thread for an update so.....called arb and they think it's a bad display circuit and they are sending me a new one to install myself. From the sounds of it the display is to be pealed up with a razor blade and the wires behind it disconnected.

We'll see but typical great support by ARB.

I have been considering one of these and that kind of support seals the deal.

Great to hear they took care of you. I have a fridge for about a month, called technical support because of a rattle from the compressor compartment that I figured may have been due to rough handling in shipping and three days later I had a brand new fridge on my doorstep. ARB takes care of their customers!
 
Got them, thanks! yep it looks the same. where that "pinch" is gets ultra cold the rest not so much. I guess I have to send in my own support request.
