Installing either brand , how much addition clearance will you get on the front end of the front fender/ liner? I think it would eliminate larger tires rubbing ( the issue we have with 275/70/17 and larger without trimming fenders/liners. Does anyone know who has a better fit/finish.
ARB / Shrockworks front bumpers??

For fit/finish I'd go with Shrock. From reports I've read the powdercoat finish has held up well. Another note is the ARB bumper is shipped from Oz and no dealer will guarantee it arriving blemish free. Some feel the ARB has too large of a gap along the fender line. Shrock seems to fit a little closer.

both are great products and should have no problems fit and finish wise.
one side comment: your body will flex under offroading conditions and if the bumper is too close to the sheet metal you may encounter some unexpected damages. this applies to anything you add that makes your vehicle more rigid than what the factory has to offer.
since I do not own either bumpers I am unsure as to how much spacing between the bumper and sheet metal is available to prevent such unexpected damages.
my vehicle flexes quite a bit and I currently have approximately 1" of space for my rear bumper to ensure that I do not encounter these issues.
I would highly check with other owners of both bumpers to find out if they have encountered any issues like this. this is probably the only concern I would have about installing any kind of bumpers.
outside of that, my only other thought would be which one can I get faster and cheaper

Couple questions for Nick regarding the shrock bumper for 2006+ 4Runners. I sent these into shrockworks last year and never got a response, this was back when they were having issues with their laser cutter and were not shipping out bumpers anyhow so I did not further persue it, but would like to revisit it now (if this should be a different thread, mods please move).
1) The 2006+ 4Runners have wider fender flares. Do/Can you make the bumper wider to compensate so it lines up flush with the wider flares? I see you now offer a 2" wider bumper option for the 3rd gens which went to the wider flares starting in 2000 on all models and had the wider flares on the Limited prior to that.
2) The smaller turn signal hole you provide on the bumper is not really needed on the 2006+ as the turn signal moved up to the headlight area. Can you either a) remove this hole or b) ideally make this the hole able to fit and mount the factory fogs which are now round and then we can utilize the other light hole for 4" piaa driving lights.
3) what is the weight increase after removing the factory bumper and installing the shrock.

Without going into the extent that I did yesterday. The 3rd gen had the LTD. version in all the years which was a several inch difference. It happens that the 2000 sport also adopted the wider flare. This is the first time the width of the 06 has been brought up and at the approx. +,- 3/8" difference I am not sure about making the change. Same with the turn signal issue, having some on certain bumpers and not on others adds to the possibility of mistakes happening during the whole process. I will look into these but won' t make any promises. Just wanted to make sure you got a follow up.
I never weighted the stock parts but ours is approx. 135lbs. with full tube, skid and splash quards.

Regarding the larger flares on the 2006 and up 4Runners. Toyota lists the 2003-2005 overall width (w/o mirrors) as 73.8" and the 2006-2008 overall width (w/o mirrors) as 75.2" for a 1.4" difference. I didnt confirm the measurements myself with a tape but it definetly looks a lot more than 3/8" (per side). I would have said at around 2" by sight alone, so 1.4" makes sense.
