ARB single vs twin compressor

I am looking at getting an ARB compressor but debating between single or twin. Is the single sufficient for airing up 33-34's within a reasonable time? or is the twin worth the price and space? won't be used all that often honestly but will be good to have when needed for wiring down and also patching a flat.

I will be mounting it on the bandi mount over my shrockworks air pump relocation kit.

i run a single w/ the shrockworks kit. Mainly because I want to utilize the shrockworks mount and keep it hard mounted to something solid, such as the floor of the engine bay, not the fender wall. I didn't want to utilize any more additional brackets that can potentially rattle loose or use hard to access fender bolts...so no more elevated trays for me (such as the power tray).

Not gonna lie, tempted to move up to a dual, but my single just works every single time, and with the shrockworks kit, if something were needing to replace such as a relay or do maintenance, or when i went to add lockers...it was really easy to do so due to accessibility (space). The shrockworks kit is really well thought out, strong, and simple (KISS). Keeps my OCD happy.

The single works fine in filling my 33's and I'll be upgrading to 34's soon....I'm sure it will be fine with 34's.

I have the twin, same mounting and use case as yourself (Bandi mount, 33 in. tires). The single should be sufficient for 33s if you want to save the money; you should be able to air up all 4 tires in a single duty cycle. Being smaller, it can also be mounted in tighter locations. I opted for the twin for the higher flowrate and 100% duty cycle and glad I did. It's fast, fits well on the Bandi mount in that location, and not worrying about the duty cycle is really nice. (Note that you will need to clock the air outlet to install in that location.)

How long does it take to air up 33's? not sure id go any bigger than 33's in the future but good to know there would be headroom to do so. I already have the bandi mount but if i went single I could probably just orer the additional shrockworks bracket to keep it lower.

never timed it, but i usually air up pretty quickly when i go wheeling with my buddies... A few of my buddies have duals, and the remainders use an assortment of VLair's. I'm pretty much done before most of the group finishes.

It does fill up all 4 tires on a single duty cycle easily, so 34's should be ok.

after owning other mounting setups, the shrockworks w/ single is my goldilocks setup.

It's a difficult decision as I would not want to regret not getting the twin, but for the amount of use it would see, for me it seems logical to go the single route as long as it can fill up tires decently quick. I also already have the bandi mount, and would need to purchase the shrockworks addon for the single. Though i think the bandi could also hold a single, it would be higher and not look as clean as it could
 
Twin.

I have the twin mounted on the MORE tank/compressor mount under the hood. I do not regret getting the twin, and am glad I did. I use the wifey system and air up in just a few minutes all 4 tires.

I also have used it to air up my 37s on my ram from usually around 20 to 50 and it stood up to the task.
 
I vote for the twin as well.

I was in the same boat as you as it hurt to pay close to double for the twin, but as much as I air up and down I wish I had the higher rate.

The single works fine for airing up 33's but still takes me around 10 minutes for all 4 tires from around 19psi to 34psi.

The one time I was helping to air up my brother in law's 35" E rated tires on his 3/4 dodge, it took a LONG time, (like close to 45 minutes).

As with most things in life I have never regretted spending big money for the best I can afford. It always hurts at the time but several months down the road you get over it and are always glad you spent the extra money throughout the life cycle.

TLDR: my single works, wish I had bought the twin.

yea 45 min for 35's is quite long. Thanks for the timing estimates on the 33's. though it would probably take me even longer since im running 40 psi. I would bet that takes it up into the 20 min range which is pushing closer to the duty cycle limitations of the single
 
I went single because I'm only ever filling up my current ~32's and eventually 33's. I can fill all 4 tires at once and have them up from ~20 PSI to 35 PSI in a few minutes via a 4-way fill hose. The twin would have been cool, but I don't have massive tires and didn't need to spend the extra money. I believe I have it mounted on an LFD bracket.

Sounds sensible and practical. Single is enough for most. You got to admit that twin fits better:

Well, I don't want to regret it so in the process of ordering a twin compressor. Since I also already have the bandi mount I don;t need to buy any other hardware either
 
Just got my Twin compressor in and i already have the Bandi mount which has been collecting dust for a few months.

Alex at Battle Born Offroad has been great. Very helpful and fast shipping. Would highly recommend them. They shipped quickly but this was also an item that they had in stock and not drop shipped.

Ordered the compressor harness from Switch-pros to easily/cleanly connect to my 9100.

I do have a couple air hoses: One short coiled and one regular 50ft. Debating if I should run an air fitting to the rear so i only need to carry the short coiled hose.
