Are 2010-13 foglight lenses glass?

As some of you may know the 2014 foglights, while the same dimensions and shape as the 2010-13 foglights, they switched to H16 bulbs, which are similar to the H11 bulbs but much lower power. H11 bulbs can be installed with a slight mod to one of the tabs, which I did today. Noticed the foglights generate a lot more heat now, and I was wondering if the older foglights were also plastic or of they were glass to deal with the heat. No issues as of yet but if the H11 version is designed differently to handle the heat I may try to snag a pair from someone who's upgraded to the LEDs

I am not going to say with 100% positivity, but I've always thought they were glass. I just went down to mine and even tapped the "glass" with my key... definitely sounds like glass, but hey I could be wrong. I even remember a few posts on here in the past where guys had "shattered the glass" by hitting something.

I've always believed they were glass because they've never collected any scratches, are so clear, and feel so solid. Now the headlights are obviously another story.. plastic and it shows!

I bashed mine on a big piece of ice during a winter water crossing. It didn't shatter but does have a big spider crack in it that hasn't spread since.
I would have to say high impact plastic.

Are there are words molded into the lense? Theyre plastic if so.
