Are the 01-02 A pillars slightly different than 96-00?

With all the 4runner's I've gone through at the junk yard there is nothing I've seen that's been different with the A pillar ...
Are you sure you didn't buy a Tacoma gauge?

I was under the impression they were also different. There's a thread on here showing a product that doesn't line up with 96-98 4Runners. Might just be the one product though.
I am just going to mount my AFR gauge in the shift bezel down low. If I mess it up, they are cheap and can just get another one. Or maybe I'll just get an extra and just tear that one up instead.

Pretty sure it was labeled "Tacoma/4Runner Gauge Pod"
Pretty sure I got it off amazon but it was a LoTek design

I mounted my AFR gauge in the kinda useless empty spot by the ashtray. I used one of these simple mounts and took it off the base, screwed it right into the plastic and hung it there. If you're skilled with fiberglass you could mould it in nice, I'm not so mine stays kinda janky.
The autometer single pod can mount to the left side of the steering column cover without interfering with any controls as well. 2" gauges won't block any of the factory cluster 60MM ones do. Electric gauges are easier to use in that spot.
