So when members state lift that doesnt include leveling with spacers? I'm also debating if I should go entry Icon to lift and level with bigger wheel or keep stock height, level the front (i guess that can be done with Bilsteins 5100) to reduce nose dive & wider stance (oe wheels w/spacers or new wheelset).
not 100% what you are asking... if you add a front space yes it will lift it and make room for larger tires. top mounted spacers will not change the "mushiness" for the worse or better...
as for nose dive if you have XREAS and still think it has too much you are going to need to upgrade to a real suspension... coils/shocks/and some say tires help remedy "nose dive"... no single one of those will eliminate it
If you swap shocks on your LE you lose the XREAS option, which should ride better than stock or the Bilsteins in the environment the LE was intended for. But ride is such a subjective thing.
As far as adjustability goes ... neither is adjustable past the decision at install-time. I certainly would not be hot on re&re'ing the front struts to adjust ride height more than once.
Even adding spacers on top of the strut will reduce the nose dive - less rake == less nose dive.
So which spacers are recommended that will not put extra load on the system but will esthetically level the truck and reduce some dive?
All these acronyms are new to me and after a little learning I have decided to keep the XREAS and only level the front – I think
I sold a lifted Duramax Diesel on 35's with gobs of suspension upgrades to achieve on-road comfort and performance (daily commuter) for the LE and although the intent was to achieve a similar rugged look, that seems to be more complicated than anticipated. Perhaps in the next phase I'll explore a lift.
