Are you happy with your 5th gen T4R?

I just took my wife to drive a 2010 LTd today....Very nice...We currently have a 04 SR5, that was hers till i scooped it up....she went to a Acadia for the 3rd row...I have to say...i am not inpressed with the GMC(and even less when i found out the trade value)...We are on a 3rd yota(hopefully soon to be 4th...and have to say...they all have surpassed expectations.

The dealer is going to call me in the am to see if they are going to accept my offer...not holding my breath...but we will see what happens..
 
I'm more than happy with my '11 TE!

Just drove it from Vancouver Island to the Kootenays loaded with two other guys and a lot of photo gear. The 4Runner handled snow, ice, and slush on the Coquihalla and Paulson passes with ease, while chained-up semis were struggling.

I've found this drive quite wearing in the past in my friend's Grand Cherokee, but arrived this time feeling pretty relaxed. The time flew by.

So glad I didn't opt for one of those unibody SUVs that are just cars with a different body shape!

I started this thread. Two days ago we got our 2012 SR5 4X4 with premium package. After driving many cars, some several times, we decided on the 4 Runner. So far we are loving it, and I'm very happy that we waited to get a 2012 with the Entune. I love the extra technology.

At one point we were close to buying a limited Grand Cherokee, but I'm glad we didn't
 
I have a 2010 CDN Upgraded SR5 and overall I'm very happy with it. I work out of town and that was the driving reason to get a bigger vehicle than my little G35 coupe!

I tried almost all small-mid sized trucks and only the frontier was something that stuck out. Started looking at other SUVs to broaden the choices. REALLY like the 2011+ Jeep Cherokees. The interior is incredibly superior to that of the 4Runner and has a new engine. I was actually going to buy it but I managed to get a deal on my 4Runner that I couldn't oversee.

There are some things coming from an Infiniti to the Toyota that I wish were different that I think you can get on the Limited. The Limited is full-time 4wd comes with 20" wheels, neither were things I wanted.

Things I would change:
- The air blower! My God that thing is weak.
- Auto climate control (available on Limited)
- Bi-Xenon headlights would have been an awesome option. I miss them a lot.
- Little nicer interior overall, actual perforated leather seats rather than look-alike

Things I like:
- It drives really well on the highway when it isn't really windy
- The seats are comfortable. Sometimes a job site is 900km away.
- Fuel mileage is decent considering the size
- The cargo room! I fit a mattress in there! Wish the back seats folded 100% flat though.

At first it was a lot getting used to coming from a small sports car. But I've had the 4Runner for almost 4 months now and I intend to keep it until it dies. Absolutely love it.
 
After 22k miles in about 4 months, I can easily say that I still love mine. Of course, after adding an ARB bumper and roof rack, rock sliders, 33" tires, 3" lift and heavy duty suspension the gas mileage isn't all that I could hope for, and I wish it had a bit more power, but overall I'm very happy.

It could be a corvette or an f-350 some people will have bought it spur of the moment and wished it hadn't happened later. I notice some of this on this board and the owners justify getting rid of it by saying things like "brakes are not right" or "ride is too stiff" or sounds "tinny when you shut the door"or something. My advise: No matter what you buy just test it completely and multiple times before making a decision. I love the 4Runner and most here do too. Just make sure before you buy this is right for you.

I love it. However, for a $42,000 vehicle, Toyota messed up with a long antenna in the front. Really? Could they not have done what small car companies do and implement the antenna into the windshield instead of the long rod? Second, gas mileage is nice, but not great. Third, they could have installed a memory configuration for the driver's seat, #1 and #2, but no luck. I've only had the vehicle for a week and love it. Can't think of anything else right now...
 
i love mine,

i plan to drive it until the engine dies, then replace the engine and keep driving it.

or until rust eats away at the frame and i can't patch/weld it anymore.

I went from 2006 Nissan Maxima to 2011 SR5. LOVE IT!!!
 
Had mine for a month now and still love it like it was day 1. Only wished Toyota did a few things different:

Projector headlights
In glass diversity antenna
Squeaky/spongy sound of brake pedal
LED Talilights
